Gorgoues wee bar. I love how it is so unsuspecting and you can almost completely miss the entrance. It was incredibly busy when we went and we didn't get served for a wee while. They had a great 2 for 1 that is on every Wednesday. The dessert was amazing along with the cocktails. Would highly highly recommend
Awesome experience. Great intimate atmosphere. Drinks were amazing and our group loved the deserts. Amazing service from the hostess. She took our whole tables order by memory, got everything right and was really friendly and knowledgeable! 2 for 1 deserts on a Tuesday too!
This cocktail bar is definitely worth a visit. It has a large variety of drinks to choose from combined with a really unique atmosphere. It can be a bit on the pricey side after a few rounds but you pay for the quality. I did not have any food so I can’t comment on that.
We went on a Friday. Had the secret life of bees cocktail and ive never had honey as a predominant taste for a cocktail! It was delightful. We also had the coffee pudding which was comforting and went well with the cocktail. We also enjoyed the live jazz band which is hard to find anywhere nowadays.Food: 5/5
Always a great experience. Love the 2 for 1 deals they have for cocktails on Wednesday and desserts on Tuesdays. Huge range of seating options too.
As much as I'd like to love this place I do not. The cocktail menu is quite simply underwhelming and the drinks are not worth the price. Great vibes and nice staff though, if they change the drinks menu I will be back.
I don’t know what band was playing, but it was the BEST live music ever! We went to The Library for their awesome drinks and deserts, and left the bar super happy with many smiles. Love this bar/lounge.
Extremely cool bar, that is bigger than you think. They hosted a 'Only Murders in the Building' Welly on a Plate event - great fun! Staff are friendly, attentive, and uber cool. They had delightful cocktails too!
My group of 4 attended WOAP: Not Only Murders in the Building WOAP event last Saturday at The Library and it was just brilliant! Using characters from the comedy-mystery TV series 'Only Murders in the Building', participants were given a case file to inspect and identify the murderer of Cinda Canning. I am most impressed by the detail put into creating the entire event - the event posters, the menu of delicious cocktails and accompanying snacks dips that came out in a Dimas paper bag, the #14 Sandwich, gut milk, even the music playlist - all meticulously tied in to many key features of the TV show. And the mystery case itself! So cleverly weaved, we definitely needed to put our thinking caps on and observation skills into good use whilst trying not to get too muddleheaded having consumed 4.5 yummy cocktails in the 2-hour session : Staff were super friendly and regularly came to check on tables to see if participants needed hints to help crack the case.
I came in for a couple of cocktails this Friday night. The bartenders did a great job with the 'Inner City Pressure'. It was a really well-balanced drink, and the egg white added to the smooth texture. Likewise, the live music was excellent. The trio of an accordionist, stand-up bassist, and guitarist made for a great atmosphere that didn't overpower the room. They matched the style of the place perfectly.
