Loved the cocktails, super tasty and great bar service. We stumbled on the discount cocktail night and the cocktails were superb. The range and attention to detail really made this a great night. The food options are equally excellent with something for all tastes. The pork was sublime and one of our favorites and the atmosphere was equally great. Recommend a stop here if you can get a table, it's super popular

Nice ambience, staff friendly and food was great. A bit pricey but overall a great experience for a special occasion .

I.LOVED.THIS.PLACE!!!! Ever since I went here for dinner while I was visiting New Zealand in September 2017, I have been CRAVING to come back here again. Not only was the service exceptionally welcoming and friendly, but the drinks I had a "lowrider" and the meal I had the lamb and it was truly one of the most decadently delicious dishes I have EVER eaten are practically unparalleled, especially for the price :. UPDATE: it's been about a year and a half since I visited this place and I am STILL salivating over the drinks and food I had while I was there...I'm seriously planning a future trip to New Zealand just so that I can eat here again!!!!. Anyway, the ambiance is cozy and the location is terrific -- an excellent place for a first date, date night, or a bite by yourself.

Everything was great until our group tried to order two portions of lamb. Our group of 6 only needed a portion for 2 as we we're ordering a bunch of dishes to share. We were disappointed to be told that if 6 people were going to share it, we'd have to pay for a dish each, $38pp. When we tried to explain that we only wanted the amount that would feed 2, they turned very sour and got very rude. I have never had such a bad experience. The food was good but the service was appalling. We ended up having to talk to the manager to change waiter due to the poor customer service however the attitude didn't really change. The dishes overall were delicious but it wasn't worth the poor customer service. Save your time and money and go to another deserving restaurant.

We used to really love this place and the menu, however it seems like they've increased prices dramatically. I would be fine with that if the amount or quality of the dishes increased as well, but I felt very hungry after finishing the tiny 38 nzd steak which came with a few grilled green beans on the side. The taste was great, Ioved it, but the size of the portion was absolutely not worth the price. Sad, but will probably not visit again.

Came by here for an early dinner due to jetlag. They seemed concerned that I didn't have a booking, but I just sat at the bar to eat. They seemed to be more of a cocktail bar, so I ordered one. The cocktail was really weak big glass, not much booze. I switched to wine. They had a great selection of wines by the glass. I enjoyed a couple throughout my visit. I opted to get the salmon special which was excellent. I also got the Brussels on the side, which were way to sweet with the Syrup on them. Great service and awesome staff, which brings this from a 3 to 4.

I think this is one of the best eatery's in Wellington, it has a great atmosphere, friendly staff. The bar looks impressive. The food here is always good, we often share a selection of the small plates and are always happy. If you like lamb I can recommend their Shoulder of lamb for two, its pretty good.

Food was amazing. Really enjoyed the lamb dish. Unfortunately the service wasn't that great. It seemed as thought one waitress was looking after every table while a few other waiters seem to just saunter around. She always looked busy and we often were left waiting for drinks my dad's bottle of beer was clearly forgotten and he finally received it after 20mins and placing our order. I'm not sure if the place was understaffed that night or it was her attitude, regardless I left disappointed. There was no rapport whatsoever and just no general friendlyness. Again, loved the food but friendly service was lacking. I don't usually write reviews about restaurants but I write this in hope that I can help in improving their service.
