BEST restaurant in Wellington cbd. It is a must visit whenever I am there. The quality of the food is always top tier, cooked to perfection and the combinations they come up with is always surprising and the menu changes as the seasons change. It is a sharing menu and you order to share the dishes which is another pleasure of dining here. Atmosphere is great and found it more beautiful when darker outside with the lighting inside. Service is always super friendly. Vegetarian options: Vegetarian dishes available Parking: Paid Street parking around. Wheelchair accessibility: Very much wheelchair accessible.

This place is one of the best restaurants to come to if you are staying in Wellington! Ombra is always a popular restaurant to eat at and it's difficult to get a seat, unless you arrive right when it opens. The food there is absolutely amazing and very good for the price, making it way worth the money. The restaurant has kept the original interior, rather than painting over it and making it modernized. It has a great atmosphere and the servers are always smiling and happy to help. I had the mozzarella pizza and the potato pizza and those were very tasty. Overall, this is a good restaurant if you are willing to spend a bit on getting a delicious meal and I would highly recommend it!

Loved it. Visited 3 weeks in a row and couldn't get a table. So made a reservation for tonight and did not regret it. Delicious food. Great service from a classy waiter who was just right in all he did. Delightful desserts... mmmm very happy and relaxed. Also- I used the bathroom and to my surprise there was a hair dryer, straighteners and nice hand wash & hand lotion! Felt taken of and enjoyed the whole time there. Thanks Ombra

A cozy Italian. Had dinner myself so couldn’t try much but all the dishes from other tables are looking stunning. Friendly and helpful staffs. Had new season sweet carrot salad with yogurt and apricot. The seasoning has a bit of cumin and pistachio and something. Absolutely melting The pizza base wasn’t crunchy as I would expect but overall it was nice. Could be the one that I ordered.

On walk to hotel after dinner and walked by and looked too interesting to not try. Lovely staff. Beautiful chill ambiance. Love the layout. Drinks were on point. Food was fresh and excellent. Awesome crowd for a Monday evening. So glad i stopped.

Went out for our Anniversary. It was a busy night and we had no reservation but we luckily got seated by the bar. Had a free sample of the pizzette. Came to this place for the gnocchi great but fell inlove with their potato pizzette and polenta chips. Hubby loved his steak and was very satisfied. Been asking to come back but have been busy. Best Italian Restaurant. Hoping to come back soon!

Easily my all-time favourite restaurant in Wellington. From their entrées all the way to dessert and drinks, nothing disappoints. Their duck risotto and gnocchi with pancetta are the best. Service is exceptionally friendly. Must book before you go.Recommended dishesGnocchi, Risotto Duck Mascarpone

Excellent food and very friendly staff. Atmosphere was lovely and relaxed for dinner. We were there for a friends birthday, and the staff even let us stash a cake in the back, and bought it out for us all lit us at the end of our meal. Fantastic experience, and will definitely eat there again.

Extra ordinary duck risotto Came in yearning it after seeing all the good reviews, and my oh my - it is soooo good! Started with the bread solo diner, should've gone for a pizza instead they are small!, but it was also amazing topped with their pepper butter. Must visit, recommended

Service was on point I'd say despite it being a Good Friday holiday. And of cos, the food was really awesome. We had the Flatbreads, Polenta Chips, Salame Pizette, Nduja Pizette, Parpadelle Mushroom Pasta, Duck Risotto, Gnocchi and their awesome Beef and Venison meatballs. Yes, that's a lot of food. A lot of good food though!Food: 4/5
