The pasta took me back to when I last visited Italy! Wow. We sacrificed dessert so we could try the third pasta. Of course the super friendly staff made the whole dining experience simply a pleasure. Thank you, and will be back next time I’m in town!
A hidden gem that serves absolutely delicious food. Service was efficient and food came out in short time. Cool interior that adds to the experience and even had live music which was neat. Bistecca and Lamb were phenomenal, ravioli was silky and the tiramisu just ended the evening perfectly. Definitely recommend
Went to Cicio Cacio for the first time today after an Italian friend’s recommendation. It was my partners birthday and we had a surprise celebration for him thx to the help of Viola, Carlos and Giulio and other lovely staff member. The food was amazing! Small menu but everything was intriguing. There was Carlos’ classic guitar live music. The vibe was so nice and homey. One other reason to love Wellington.
This restaurant is hidden down an alley way... when you enter the front door, you walk into a restaurant of homely ambience, a fireplace that warms up the place... stylish solid chairs, cosy corners with tables scattered around. The menu is authentic Italian, and it changes regularly apparently. There were 4 of us, two ordered the same pasta noodle dish, I ordered a pasta noodle with garlic and anchovies, and the other ordered pork rib main. Everything had an Italian name of which I can't remember... hence why I call it a pasta noodle. We ordered the 3 types of salad they offer, which were placed in the middle of the table and shared by all. They also placed a basket of freshly baked bread, cut into pieces to mop up the sauces/oils from the meals... which we did, very nice. We ordered 3 chocolate panacottas, and tiramisu for our desserts, a lovely way to finish our meals. We will definitely be coming back to try other meals, lovely evening. Thank you
What a delightful place! Great atmosphere, food and music. Authentic Italian food with great bread. Highly recommend
I went there for my birthday, we had a wonderful time in this very warm environment, the food is amazing we’ll done to the chef! The staff is amazing, taking care of you and making sure you have enough bread and butter for the full diner ! I felt at home !
What an amazing place to visit. The food is next level and the service is great. Funnily tonight after dinner I read reviews and it is so funny how people give 1 star for 1 simple thing that they did not like. I will continue coming back as it's great food, vibe and amazing service. Vegetarian options: There are many vegetarian options. Menu changes every few months.
I had dinner at Cicio e Cacio a few times and while the food has never impressed me, last Friday was really bad. We were a table of 9 and pretty much everyone was unhappy with their food. Here a few reasons: - Overpriced I'm happy to pay an high price for good food - very bland flavours - Very poor service however this is not waiters and waitress fault as they were clearly untrained - Uncooked mushrooms on tagliatelle I've never seen uncooked mushrooms on pasta in Italy - Tiny portions - Very poor choice of antipasti we got the tigelle which again, for the price were small and bland - The antipasto came after the first course The only good thing was the free bread. I really hope they'll change something because it could be a really nice place to dine in. Not going back anytime soon, sorry!
Just amazing! I walked 30min to get there and it was worth the trip! This restaurant looks like a two story home and you feel history taking you by your senses when you pass the porch. Newton can seem a bit sketchy but this restaurant proves otherwise. Excellent service: the waiter explained to me in detail all the authentic Italian menu. I wanted it all but I knew my belly could not take it so I started with an anti-pasta and a local beer, Garage. This pâté de foie was just delicious on a fresh and tasty bread. Then the ravioli made its way with a wonderful wine match that was suggested to me. And the grande finale, the Tiramisu, with a cup of coffee just like I make it at home. Thanks to all the staff, I had a very nice authentic Italian experience! Cheers!
Incredible and authentic Italian food with lovely service. the vibe is cute as and adds to the experience with exposed brick walls and classic Italian decor. live music tonight was a great addition! the place is pricey but you get the quality and more.Food: 5/5
