Excellent! Good price, the portions have a good size and delicious. I had macaroni and cheese, and the panacota for dessert … absolutely fabulous: smooth, light, the crunchy of the shaved almonds was the perfect match. Nice ambiance and good option for a stop to have lunch or dinner when walking along Cuba St.
Lovely food at reasonable prices. I had the number 8 and added bacon which really made the dish great. My mum had the gnocchi as it was gnocchi night and really enjoyed it! Good portion sizes not so huge that you feel sick like a lot of pasta places!. We were told around 20 minutes for a table but it was less than 5. Liked the joint community seating. Vegetarian options: Plenty of veggie options on the menu Dietary restrictions: They had gluten free pasta as well as vegan pasta available
Great pasta, great value and great atmosphere. I came here on a Sunday night and it was really busy. I had the Linguine Gambero which was delicious and a good serving. Great spot to come with friends. I'm from out of town but it also seems to be in a bit of hip part of town.
Pretty cool spot, does exactly what is says on the tin - good pasta! Buzzing atmosphere so wouldn’t go if your after a quiet meal. Also don’t be putt off by the big queue tables turn pretty fast. Definitely worth checking out if your craving pasta!Recommended dishesFresh Pasta
The pasta at 1154 is delicious! Great portion size and packed with flavour. A hearty meal and great for a rainy summer day in Wellington. The main downside was the loud music. I had to put in earplugs for my stay. A comfortable environment would be a perfect pairing for such great pasta - but the music volume made it feel more like a dancefloor. I suspect this is to encourage clientele to leave and make space for more diners.
Delicious! Best pasta I have tasted! The actual restaurant is a bit smaller and as it is a shared dining space they do not book out tables. We went there before 5 and the vibe was good and chill until mkfe ppl came in but I suppose you can't do anything about that. Nice front open kitchen so you can watch the chefs. Good array of pasta on the menu. Overall would recommend for lunch and for a quick bite. If you are wanting to spend an evening for wining and dining it probably isn't the best spot for that just due to its shared dining capacity. Definitely the place to go for a quick bite though. We ended up getting takeaway which was beautiful but they don't offer paper cutlery so make sure u take your own culterly if you are going to get takeaway.
Super friendly and helpful staff, amazing pastas. Panna Cotta is the MUST TRY, creamy and silky. It came with roasted almond slice on top and caramel syrup which balanced all the flavours in your mouth. Love it!
We frequent Cuba street and every time we found this place brimming with customers. Food must be great - we thought and we weren’t wrong. Besties were in town and we had a late lunch here. Pasta - great , staff - courteous and service - quick. Panna cotta was outstanding. Highly recommend this place.
Pasta special left + Linguine gameri right Service: Fast and friendly! Walk-in only. Order at counter. Flavour & smell The toppings smelled yum. The gameri was quite overpowering. However, the flavour depth of the sauce was shallow and quite lacking. Portion & satiety Portions matched up to the price. There was enough for two servings in one bowl. Personally, I found the linguine too tough and not enough sauce, as it got dry. I didn’t finish the meal and packed the rest in my lunch box and went elsewhere for ice-cream to hit the missed spot I really wanted to like it. Hopefully next time it hits the spot.
Got off ferry from south island and searched for lunch spots. Went based on reviews. Staff was lovely, we sat at the window seats which were great for people watching. The food was bland. We had bolognese and ravioli. Both of us left un impressed with food. Both dishes didn’t taste fresh.
