There was no visible signage for this cocktail bar but I have been told this is one of the finest speakeasy in Wellington hence tried them out. The Interesting concept of Jazz bar and quality of the drinks were meeting expectations but felt the place was too crowded and price of the drinks were little too high.
Real hidden gem of a bar in Wellington. It has that chill and mysterious kinda vibe, intimate ambience. They have knowledgeable bar tenders and have a broad understanding of taste and flavours. Would recommend 10/10
In Wellington we got several cocktail bar recommendations and Hawthorn was one. It was just what we were looking for. Everyone was friendly and the tanle next to us even taught us a new card game. The atmosphere was dark and was a speak easy vibe. Attentive staff and great mixers. I added our favorite drink
Great atmosphere and friendly service. Cocktails were not the best I've had, but my partner liked his. It's worth going, for sure, maybe stick with the old classics if you're in the fence about what to order.
I was extremely disappointed by the quality and flavours of the cocktails provided. We ordered almost all drinks on the menu and it was like drinking the alcohol straight. Service was also lacking.

Amazing intimate atmosphere, attentive and highly skilled staff and the best Old Cuban I have ever had. This is a must visit if you enjoy a cocktail. Will definitely be back
Amazing speakeasy in the heart of Wellington. Service is pro and friendly, cozy decor and lighting, with jazz music in the background, all you can wish for if you have the budget for it.
Superb as always. Surely the best cocktails in town. Devan and Alex have got your back. Such a great spot. Dark and quiet.
Sharing a cocktail or two with your Queen is a recommendation in Wellington. Why? It does two things. 1 it gets you trying something different 2 you learn something new together There is an atmosphere of chic as you slink into deep leather couches. The dim lighting may make reading the menu of liquid treasures hard to start with but make sure you ask for some accompanied foods. Toasties were a great way to help soak up the good vibes and settle the stomach. Smaller than the other cocktail bars in the 04, but the service we got here was Fantastic. Knowledgeable on the drinks and willing to spend time talking and caring about our night. Will be back for sure.
