A great experience here with a gorgeous view of the mountains and seas. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and fresh air. The food was good so was the atmosphere of the restaurant. Inca, our waitress, is a real asset of the restaurant. She was really friendly and accommodating, making us feel very welcomed.

A fantastic experience for both breakfast and dinner. Even with the limited menu on offer, there was still plenty to choose from and to enjoy. The staff were absolutely fabulous, they were engaging, entertaining and truly made our experience feel unique.  What is a holiday without a cheeky breakfast mimosa?

The staff here are amazing. During our trip to Queenstown, Eichardt's became the definition of Kiwi hospitality and friendliness to us. Located by the lake with stunning views, the chowder was a standout for us! Their wine selection is also fantastic and carefully highlights some NZ winners, sad I couldn't try them all.Food: 5/5

The food was quite simply awful.  Look at the pics vs look at the chowder they advertise.  The lamb was served cold, very dry and so tough the poor waitress really had her work cut out trying to “pull apart” the $100 lamb shoulder we were served, I’m guessing it was supposed be tender? We literally asked for any type of sauce to make it palatable. The pic attached looks gross, that is better than it was to eat.  The mash potatoes were literally just a plain mash in a bowl. Normally there’s be some sort of flavour enhancing spice like salt and pepper, perhaps some truffle oil or something but it was more plain than what your mother makes. I will say there was no lumps so there’s a positive note there.  The chowder certainly had no mussels or seafood like the advertisements, it was like a scotch broth in a cheap restaurant - supermarket mornay mix would have been an improvement. Even the bread wasn’t toasted properly.  Needless to say we weren’t interested in dessert.  Not sure if we were just unlucky or if this is the norm, either way not a great birthday dinner. We managed to sneak back into the Blue Kanu for a tasty meal. There’s better places than this for far cheaper. Pedro’s does a better lamb, so does my BBQ most Sundays.  Mess food at military establishments would put this place to shame. Don’t waste your money, there are great and average restaurants that are both better options than this.

High light of our ZQN trip!  Food and service was impeccable!  Thibault provided amazing service and was friendly and approachable.  Cocktails were addictive.  Seafood chowder was thick and flavoursome as a seafood chowder should be! Full of seafood and texture.  Venison carpaccio was not as gamey as I had expected, but paired nicely with the raspberry.  Eye fillet on the bone was a touch over cooked medium rare and would be closer to medium  Other eye fillet was perfect and the mushroom pate was just Devine!  Desserts were also a highlight.  Would return and would highly recommend !

Loved the view! Staff are lovely , I was asked what level of spice for my Bloody Mary, asked for 7 /10 and it was perfect,  with fresh squeezed tomato juice and trimmings. Minute steak, bernaise sauce, fried egg and potato was perfect..forgot to take photo at start, it was so good !! Great way to start the day!!

Went to Eichardt’s for dinner. Dispute the mixed reviews we went in with open minds.  Honestly the meal was absolutely delicious. For starters we got the blue cod wings, which was coated in a Cajun style mix it was crispy and perfectly cooked. Nice and meaty sized wings.  For mains, my girlfriend got the whole flounder with beurre blanc sauce. Perfectly cooked, huge portion and the sauce was well balanced.  I got a 300g savannah sirloin, with peppercorn sauce. Steak was cooked exactly how I wanted medium-rare. Steak was tender and beefy in flavour.  Service was amazing and our waiter made wine pairing recommendations that worked perfectly with our food.

We went there for dinner the first time, food was awesome, staff were super nice! Had to go back again for breakfast before we leave Queenstown! Id say dinner food was better, their coffee was a bit meh~ but the view in the morning was spectacular! Definitely check this place out!

Stayed at the lake view one bed room for my birthday. One of the most iconic and prestigious hotel in Queenstown. The room was amazing with full view of lake Wakatipu.  Pre dinner drinks were included upon arrival. Breakfast were also included the next day. Had such a great time in the hotel.

Amazing food and dining experience. The food was delicious and atmosphere nice but what really made the experience exceptional was our waiter Daniel I think  was from England and very knowledgeable about everything especially wine.  His level of service was amazing, for all guests he noticed and corrected the smallest things and was constantly observing. He was so knowledgeable and had so much time for us and other guests we observed explaining wines, menu items or anything.  One of the best dining experiences we had in New Zealand!
