Absolute perfection! We are staying in Paihia but fell in love with Russell so booked dinner at The Gables outside table is a must! and got the ferry over for the most perfect and special dinner. The views are spectacular but the food and wine are also fantastic, the staff are friendly and lovely, this was one of my favourite dinners I’ve ever had.
Amazing location, especially at sunset. The restaurant itself is beautiful and the staff were fantastic. As for the food, possibly the best Italian food I've had in NZ
Phenomenal experience at The Gables.nMike Tully our sommelier had an exceptional knowledge of local wine and was such an awesome host. The landing, boulder bay, rogue vines, 144 islands and dancing petrel were divine…nFood was on point! The Gnocchi was to die for! Thank you The Gables..we will rave about you…savour northland, great choice …Just wow…!!!!
Thank you to the Gables for a lovely evening! We came for a wine tasting, in which was beautifully curated. Michael had so much interesting, insightful knowledge to offer, and provided great back story into the vineyards also. All of the wines were exquisite, and we really enjoyed this magnificent experience. We then stayed for dinner, the food was absolutely delicious. There was such great service, in an absolutely beautiful setting and location. Will definitely be back!
We stopped in for lunch and had the Italian Long Lunch, 3 courses. It was delightful. The server was friendly and attentive, I asked to be accommodated as a celiac - and oh my gosh- yum. Highly recommend.
