Thank you to the Gables for a lovely evening! We came for a wine tasting, in which was beautifully curated. Michael had so much interesting, insightful knowledge to offer, and provided great back story into the vineyards also. All of the wines were exquisite, and we really enjoyed this magnificent experience. We then stayed for dinner, the food was absolutely delicious. There was such great service, in an absolutely beautiful setting and location. Will definitely be back!

He purchased the land for 30 pounds from Moko, a Maori chief, several years earlier. He used whalebone for the foundation piles you can see one of them in the Osteria and pit-sawn kauri throughout the building.nnIt was so relaxing to have a refreshing drink while listening to the gentle waves
A nice Italian restaurant sits right in front of the beach, stunning views and good food. The market fish of the day is flounder which is beautifully cooked.
We had a wonderful evening celebrating a birthday. The team kindly decorated the table and allowed us to bring birthday cake. The large starter plater was excellent value as it fed 6 of us including vegetarians. The pasta dishes are delicious - we had fennel sausage, tiger prawns and roast vegetables. Friendly team the chef came out to chat and wish the birthday “ boy” thanks for special night
Our favourite Russell restaurant has reinvented itself as an Italian. Food was pretty good but not outstanding. Service was friendly if a bit inconsistent. The wine was excellent. Tables are now quite close together.
