We arrived to Bay of Islands by cruise ship on a Wednesday morning.nTook the ferry over to RussellnOnly to come across an amazing restaurant !nWe sat on a scenic bench overlooking the bay, immediately by our server.nWe are offered a menu and decided on trying the lamb tacos.nI've got to tell you being from Southern California I was amazed at the food quality and the taste was Amazing !nThe ingredients were fresh and food was presented very well.nI definitely recommend this restaurant to those of you who are going to visit the Bay of Islands and Russell.nThank you for the Great Lunch !nI will be back Soon.
Four of us had a great night at The Seaside. Food and drinks especially margaritas were excellent and the location was fab, we ate outside at the water’s edge in the evening sun, perfect.nnBetween us we had starters of prawns and calamari, delicious, then the fried snapper, salmon and the crispy duck salad. All excellent, with nice touches like puréed cauliflower with the fish, and a delicious dressing in the starter side salad.nnService was super friendly, helpful and prompt.nnPhoto is of the salmon with potato rosti nnThanks for a lovely night.
Very much enjoyed the $30 beer and burger. Very good deal and great service. The views are great and the atmosphere laid back which suits this establishment. A must visit.
Wow! what a fantastic restaurant. On holiday from UK and stayed in Russell for 2 days and ate at this restaurant both days. The service and food is outstanding. First night we had the fish & Chips which was delicious. On our last night we started with the tandoori lamb chops and the lemon pepper calamari's. Beautiful cooked and presented. Lamb was superbly cooked. We then had the chef's special the seafood chowder. This was amazing. The service is one of the best I have received in any restaurant. The views over the bay just makes it the perfect place to eat. Best restaurant in Russell. A must visit. 5* food and service.
What we liked about this restaurant was the quick service. The food was really good, with reasonable portions just what you’d expect after a long drive when all you want is prompt service without anything overly fancy. Overall, it was a great experience.nnSorry, no pictures this time, we saw the food and couldn’t resist digging in right away!
