GREEN'S Russell - INDIAN Cuisine

Such a pleasant, charming young man greeted us and helped with all we could have wanted. The menu had some different dishes which we hadnt tried. We ordered them and they were great!nLooking out on hibiscus and banana palms was special too - coming from the South Island as we do!

Had the most delicious Indian curry I’ve ever tasted!! Definitely recommend the lamb madras being dairy free - the sauce was so tasty, with melt in your mouth lamb! My family also enjoyed the classic butter. Which was also so tasty, rich and sweet, but far more authentic than what you get at most common Indian chains! We had very quick service by a lovely waiter, and I didnt feel horribly full after like I have at other restaurants - being gluten and dairy free! I think the restaurant could be decorated more to feel more Indian and enhance the atmosphere, to match the superb food! Amazing, best Indian you’ll find in Russell!!! The Greens Thai in Russel is just as delicious too!

The Thai basil stir fry with prawns was fantastic! It had a lot of prawns, vegetables, and a nice smoky flavor. We also had an order of Indian butter chicken. I’ve never been to a restaurant with both. The Kashmiri naan had coconut. We treated it as an appetizer and dessert. Service was friendly.

Great food and much, much better than most Auckland Indian restaurants. Korma wasn’t too sweet and goat was tender. Exactly what we wanted.

So delicious, the Lamb Korma was delicately spiced, the naan fresh and tender. Our server was very friendly and kind. They have a great selection of beverages; the plum cider went well with my lunch. Portions were ample and the atmosphere cheerful.
