The Devon Hotel - New Plymouth

From start to finish a fantastic experience, welcomed by super friendly professional staff. Then up to our room which was very clean, modern and comfortable it had everything you needed. No need to leave as they also have a restaurant and bar! Fantastic parking and polite farewell! Fantastic price i will definitely be back! I travel for work and this is one of the best little spots its the values that count!

Great price for a lovely hotel. The staff are welcoming and really helpful. The amenities are great - using one of the free bikes to get into town along the sea walkway is a treat. The buffet dinner is fabulous. I can't wait to visit again!

The hotel had a great location with plenty of parking spaces available, either directly in front of the building or on the street nearby. Unfortunately, the rooms were extremely noisy — we could clearly hear the movie playing in the room next to us, and during the night we even heard someone snoring in the room above.nnIn the bathroom, there were still hairs from previous guests stuck to the walls, which is definitely not very hygienic.nnOn the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and the breakfast was good, offering a nice selection of both hot and cold dishes. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.nnOverall, a mixed experience.

This hotel was wonderful! Great staff at the front desk. The room was clean, and the shower was so strong. The free bikes to use were great and helped us discover the waterfront. The pool and spa were great. The shower pressure was incredible! Really enjoyed my experience in this hotel!

Shower water pressure wasn't great in the shower.nnStaff really friendly and helpful.nnRoom service food was hot and tasty.nnThe Rocks bar - food wasn't hot when it came out so one meal wasn't up to par, the Korean Salad however was delicious and 5/5.nnSome water damage to the window in our room and the cord on the blinds wasn't secured correctly in the safety catch, we let reception know / on the feedback sheet.nnGreat info in the room info folder. Great menu for room service as well as plenty of options for other local venues for food and entertainment etc.nPricing was fantastic for food and the room.
