The Devon Hotel - New Plymouth

Nicely situated, rooms clean but lacking attention to detail crooked bedclothes on arrival. Nice decor and facilities. Bar/restaurant good for casual meals and Marbles Buffet had a lot of nice food and huge variety if you like buffets. Full breakfast was very good but again attention to detail lacking - no salt one day, no butter another day, no spoon another day. I’ll stay again.

Fantastic service , great room and price. Would highly recommend.nI stayed for 4 nights for work, the room was very clean and tidy and the staff and service were amazing. I was able to use the Aquatic centre gym and pool at no cost which was very close by. They went above an beyond for me as I left items at the pool and they organised it to be picked up and posted to me. If you are traveling through New Plymouth and need a place definitely worth checking out this place.

I have just spent 3 nights at The Devon Hotel - New Plymouth and I can highly recommend it, the location is great, the staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful, overlooking the pool. We had booked the full breakfast for our stay and the breakfast buffet was amazing, the best I've ever had in a hotel, there was so much choice, the quality of the food was perfect, the yummy fruit, yogurts and cereals again perfect. The staff were super friendly as well, Hilary in the Restaurant was so lovely, she would always greet us with a smile. We have been looking forward to this trip for such a long time and I can't thank the hotel staff enough for making our visit such a memorable one. We will definitely be back!!

I don't usually write reviews for hotels as I travel a lot for work, but the last week I've stayed at The Devon has been an absolute stand out.nnEvery interaction I've had with staff from reception to house keeping to the dining room to the bar has been professional, friendly and very welcoming. It's so refreshing to have genuine hospitality from literally every person I've met here - fantastic team across the board.nnThe beds are super comfortable, rooms clean and modern. I never get the hotel breakfast but I've gone every day here because it's such a great selection and delish the lady who welcomes you is so lovely too - the restaurant is packed at night which is a great sign too.nnThe first place I've ever stayed at that has free EV chargers which is fantastic having the work vehicle.nnWill 100% be booking here again the next time I'm down for work and even on a personal trip. Keep up the good work!

Very clean comfortable hotel with great effort gone into filling the the foyer and bar with interesting art- a bit like New Plymouth’s version of the QT in Wellington. Beds were comfy. The hotel obviously wants you to dine with them as there is no cutlery in the rooms, only a basic tea and coffee facility with a single teaspoon. Parking can be difficult on a busy night though the staff were very helpful in that regardnOverall very enjoyable stay
