From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. The staff went above and beyond to make sure every detail of our stay was perfect — friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. The hotel itself was spotless; everything felt fresh, clean, and beautifully maintained.nThe meals were simply outstanding at our birthday party and every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavour, thank you to Richard! It truly felt like dining at a fine restaurant every day.nAnother huge plus was the free parking, which made our stay even more convenient.nOverall, this hotel exceeded all expectations. Excellent service, beautiful rooms, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere — we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a top-notch experience.

Spent Christmas eve here. We were warmly welcomed with plush toy gifts for our kids. Room was fairly spacious and staff were very accommodating. Buffet options were a bit limited but the kids love the pancake maker.nnIf you’re bringing a car, parking’s a bit limited but there are also offstreet parking options around.

We cannot recommend Novotel New Plymouth enough!nFrom even before we stayed, everyone during the booking process was so helpful and made sure we got the best deal.nOnce we arrived, every member of our family was made to feel special, and the stuffed toys for the children was such a nice touch.nFrom the front desk, to the restaurant, and housekeeping, everyone we interacted with was amazingly helpful, friendly, and truly went above and beyond. We cannot thank you all enough. Our family was celebrating our child's birthday, and it was the other family's first time in New Zealand, so all the care taken with those little details meant so much to us all.nThe rooms were spotless and well designed for small families with young children There wasn't anything we had to worry about them knocking over !nUsing the free parking was easy enough, but it was so great to have the option of pay parking as well, had all the free spots been full.nThe breakfast was amazing. There was such variety and everyone in our family from picky-eaters to allergy babies were able to find something delicious to eat!nThey were also so accommodating to help us with a quick birthday cake celebration in the lobby lounge!nWe cannot thank you enough for the amazing experience. Way to go team! You are absolute perfection and the gold standard of hospitality!

The rooms are comfortable. Comfy bed.The staff are very nice and helpful. The restaurant is expensive but the food is amazing.The $30 charge to park under the building that is not secured is a bit rich. Hopefully you can find parking at the back of the building. We had a view of the main road but it was raining and cloudy so that didn't matter.nThe shower was lovely.
