Having worked in the hotel industry overseas for over a decade, I truly appreciate the little details that make a stay memorable.nnWhat stood out most was the General Manager's handwritten welcome message. It was such a thoughtful and personal touch that instantly made us feel valued. Combined with the spotless room, delicious treats, drinks, and even a reserved parking space with my name on it, the experience exceeded my expectations.nnThank you, Novotel, for reminding me that true hospitality is about making guests feel genuinely welcome, not just providing a place to stay. Our stay at Novotel New Plymouth was absolutely fabulous from start to finish. Every aspect of our experience exceeded our expectations.nnThe customer service was outstanding—every staff member we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and they made us feel valued throughout our stay.nnThe hotel was spotless, with exceptional cleanliness in both our room and the shared areas. The food was delicious, with a great selection and excellent quality.nnWe couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend Novotel New Plymouth to anyone looking for outstanding accommodation. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed by the exceptional professional staff. Our room was huge compared to modern standards with a fully equiped kitchen, two bathrooms and king beds. Perfect for two singles or couples or parent with two children. The resturant was excellent where we enjoyed daily breakfast and an evening meal. A bar was suitable for pre dinner drinks. The hotel was in walking distance to the centre of town with more food options, museums, art gallery, foreshore and shops.

Only issues was when we were transferred to a wheelchair accessible shower room it was tiny there was no room to be able to move or comfortably sit and there was no place to wash medical equipment or keep it sanitized feeding tubes etc and nowhere to prepare medication no microwave to heat food or anything and we had just spent thousands to stay here.. apart from that there was one manager Cecelia Harrison who was hard to deal with and doesn't like to do things the same way as others behind the desk do so It makes it difficult to keep up with. She was the only one we had issues with otherwise the staff here were amazing the house keepers are awesome the staff at haukai are the bomb! But it only takes one rotten egg to ruin a perfect setting. Beautiful place to stay if on the top 2 floors do not recommend the wheelchair accessible rooms they aren't wheelchair friendly dark and a little dindgy..
