King and Queen Hotel Suites

Real nice place in the CBD. Rooms were a decent size and well appointed. Had e bikes for hire which was perfect for the location close to the New Plymouth waterfront. The best thing though, were the staff. Friendly, helpful...just super pleasant to deal with and made our stay more enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again!!

Cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. Rooms were lovely, small but hacks everything we needed. Loved the location, having the great eateries downstairs was so handy. We loved the e-bikes and access to costal walkway. Most of all the staff were amazing. Especially Esme who was so helpful on check in. Highly recommend

It’s the location, arty vibe and large rooms which make this a wonderful base for a stay in New Plymouth.nAnchoring the art/ dining precinct everything is at your doorstep, and you can charge many of the external eateries back to your room!nFYI don’t miss dining at Social Kitchen a couple of blocks away. And on the doorstep enjoy cocktails at Snug, wine at Itch, pizza & beer at Mrs White, lunch at Public Kitchen in the courtyard and brunch at Monica’s across the road - all are recommended - you won’t leave NP hungry!nA minor observation is that’s rooms look a little better on the internet than IRL - but they are very spacious and comfortable. The overall design of the hotel meets the arty vibe and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Overall very highly recommended , probably other best concept hotel we’ve stayed at in a city of this size anywhere in NZ.

It seems like the hotel has gone downhill a bit.nThe staff were good, friendly without being too much and helpful.nOur shower had quite a bit of mould and discolouration of the grout. We didn't see reception to mention it but were surprised given this is meant to be luxury accommodation.nOur room also had quite a bit of street noise.nAnd $30 per night for parking is outrageous in provincial New Zealand. Particularly when there's free parking in the streets by the hotel.nLastly, they surprise you on check in with a $100/night charge as a deposit for the mini bar or eating at the restaurants - seems like a lot of money to expect on top of the room charge.nBathrooms had no windows and the room only had one.nJust doesn't feel like luxury

A gem in the heart of New Plymouth. We discovered it last Easter and we just visited again, so good. Great staff and location right in the CBD, very convenient. Rooms are modern industrial style and clean, with good amenities, perfect for business or leasure stays. Book a carpark with your booking, if you're driving. Lots of eateries options and shops around the area, some are a part of the hotel so you can charge to your room. Such a great hotel.
