Millennium Hotel New Plymouth Waterfront

Nice hotel located facing the ocean close to the walking path. Good parking if you are early. Nice staff and good size rooms. The bed was comfortable and the air condition very good. The bathroom shower sprayed water outside the stall until i managed to give it a temporary fix. The fridge in the room was defrosting itself and leaking water onto the carpet. These are Items I brought up to the management to fix. So hopefully it wont be there for the next guest. The breakfast was excellent as was the dinner at the hotels restaurant, SALT.

Fantastic location. Arrived on Christmas Day when the entire city was shut. The Duty Manager was unable to advise where would be great for dinner as the hotel’s SALT restaurant was fully booked. Room service was unavailable either. Room was simple and had a great sea view balcony. Room make up was basic and didn’t replenish items such as coffee and tea. Overall staff was friendly. This was more an upscale motel feel than a Millennium hotel though.

From arrival to departure the team are so friendly and helpful.nHad a priority upgrade to a deluxe room , A very spacious, clean well-appointed room with views towards the ocean.nBreakfast service was very good, food was lovely and fresh.nthe wait staff very welcoming.nSo central to the city and walkway.nLook forward to our next visit.nThank you.

We spent three nights here. We love the location and the room view of the fascinating Wind Wand on the waterfront.nThe room was very comfortable but it could have been much cleaner. Pubic hair, from previous clients, on the tile floor and mildew in the bathroom was unpleasant to say the least.nThe staff and meals at Salt Restaurant were fantastic. They were very accommodating of my husband's needs regarding PTSD and seated us where he could comfortable.

The WORST experience and service I’ve had at a hotel. Checked in and went up to our room. Room was boiling hot, AC unit completely off, and the mirror in the bathroom was radiating heat. Switched on the AC and left for dinner to give the room time to cool down. It was somehow hotter when we got back. Asked the front desk to move us to a different room, they said no other rooms. Front desk person came up to the room with us and tried to say we hadn’t had the unit set to “snowflake”. We did, but agreed to give it 30 minutes. Unit continued to blow hot air. Front desk was no help at all and offered no alternative solutions. We had to find a room elsewhere on a night where everywhere was booked up. Would absolutely never recommend this place.
