The Brown Pub

Rooms were super clean and easy to access. Instructions were clear, so we didn’t have any trouble finding our way. We were lucky to be the only guests that day, which made it nice and quiet. Stopped here on our way to Queenstown and then to Picton to catch a ferry — a perfect spot to take a break on a long drive. Great value and comfortable stay!

We had a meal here when visiting Methven. It was a week night and not too busy. The service was great and when I explained that I had a few food allergies they were so helpful. They talked to the chef and made sure I would get a meal I could eat. The chef went above and beyond to ensure I had a delicious meal that catered to my dietary requirements. This was so very much appreciated, thank you . A lovely country pub with lovely pub meals

We didn't stay there so can not comment on the rooms. It was not busy when we were there. Service was solid. Located in the middle of town

We really enjoyed our stay here. The girls looking after us were great, and could have a decent chat. The room was well priced and everything we needed and nothing that we didn't need. Common areas and shower areas were very clean. Shower was great. Only slight, and it's minor, there wasn't enough milk for two coffees. But hey that's so minor compared to all the positives for our stay. Thank you Brown Pub.

Called in there to have a drink , it was an effort for bar staff to serve you ,Felt because you weren't a local they didn't want you there.Not a good look when you have people travelling through the town .
