Ski Time Methven Restaurant, Accommodation & Conferences

When I travel, I usually like to stay in new places to have new experience and explore, but I break this rule when I come to Methven - I love Ski Time and have stayed there multiple times. The team is super lovely, they have amazing attention to detail. The vibe is homely and relaxed.nnI stayed in both basic and deluxe rooms. Basic rooms are smaller and have everything you need, and deluxe are next level up .nnFree breakfast is a bonus - saves time in the morning and is served in a beautiful room.nnIn the evening, I love to spend time at the common lounge and play pool.nThe restaurant has great food too, highly recommend as a dinner option.

From service to food to rooms, this hotel is just a gem here in Methven. We came early in the season. Beginning of autumn and it was pretty quiet. Just a few guests staying here but the restaurant was quite busy. The food is scrumptious. The basket of freshly baked breads was top and so were the mains. I got venison. I’ve never had such a perfectly cooked and lean meat. Kudos to the chef! Also exceptional were the desserts. The Eton mess was made with coconut cream. Delicious. Breakfast is continental, with breads, spreads, cereals, yogurts and coffees. We were lucky as a group staying at the hotel asked to have cooked breakfast so we managed to enjoy also some scramble eggs, mushrooms, bacon, hash browns and roasted tomatoes. Rooms are spacious. Quiet and with all comforts. There is a laundry room available. Game room looks cozy. The views from the restaurants are really gorgeous both at sunset and sunrise. If you’re coming here during ski season, make sure to book the restaurant in advance. This place is five star!

Fab stay at Ski time. Great size room with comfortable bed and full pressure shower. Breakfast was great but the dinner in the restaurant on Saturday night was simply outstanding. Delicious menu and savoured every bite. Well worth it and would go back to Methven for that alone. Staff both friendly and efficient.

Good experience outside of Christchurch. Cozy living area, comfortable and warm breakfast area with a good variety of options, personally was just missing some hot options to add on the breakfast.nAside of that highly recommended.

No complaints at all. In fact, I love this place. rooms were very cosy, bed was comfy and I really slept well as compared to my two previous hotels that i stayed. The staff was friendly and welcoming.. Everything was well equipped. Would live to come back to methven again! Shame that I couldnt stay for breakfast as I had to leave very early in the morning.. So yeah. Two thumbs up!
