Story

The Mountain House is a two story, three-bedroom, red cedar 'Alpine’ style home that sleeps 8 people comfortably. It has two queen size bedrooms downstairs and a bunkroom with four adult-sized bunk beds upstairs. The Mountain House offers a large lounge room with a stylish gas fireplace and two heat pumps for instant heat after a cold day on the slopes. It has a fully equipped kitchen with crockery, cutlery and glassware for 10 people, fringe/freezer, electric stove/oven, microwave and a dishwasher. The large, open plan bathroom and toilet has recently been renovated and a second toilet for convenience. The laundry is in the lockup garage and is equipped with a washer and dryer. The garage is suitable for both car and ski storage.
Previous guests have described this home as "warm and cosy", a "home away from home".
Our home has just been recently stylishly renovated including an upgraded kitchen, installing a second toilet and decorating the home throughout, including two new queen Sleepyhead beds and linen.



This beautiful Alpine Chalet is situated only minutes walk to the heart of Methven where you will find its great pubs, restaurants and cafes. Methven is a small village at the base of Mt Hutt ski field and offers guests a range of activities both summer and winter.
