The Block Cafe

Astonishing food + really nice atmosphere, like you can feel all the breeze and the sun light you need. It is my first time at this Cafe’s and will definitely come back to try more food here. I rate 4 stars instead of 5 because i experience some bad customer service with a certain staff.

Rustic, garden featured cafe on the main road. Staff are very nice, and food is quite tasty. Service is quick for a weekend day too. Great for small group coffee catch ups.

Exciting Atmosphere. Groovy! Indoor/Outdoor flow. Great menu. Ample Parking. Perfect Coffee. Large Selection Outstanding Service from the Perfect, Patient Waitress Arnica! Awesome and perfect waitress Aurora! Superb, gentle and amazing patient care from the young lady with a wonderful future. Can't recommend it highly enough! Vegetarian options: Excellent

Great pancakes great atmosphere with a mix of people. The cabinet desserts look great and the staff were great . Service was quick and we got our coffees as asked for before the food .

Happy with eggs benni, huge large coffee, the young lady who ordered and bought our food, cheerful, polite, great service. Good luck if you get acknowledged walking in . Couldn't even look up and smile, waited over 5 minutes , walked out, and waited for my friends. Came back in . It was the young server who greeted us, not the older grumpy one behind the counter. Would I go back? I'm not sure. I would like to try the other ones. Don't live in the area.

I have been going to The Block since it was established. In more recent years the bathrooms did need much better cleaning but the most recent time I visited the management had listened to reviews and they were much cleaner : The food is always great, the music volume was much better this time, and the surroundings are sunny and atmospheric. Other reviews talk of not being allowed dogs in the covered outdoor area, I have seen dogs happily sitting under their owner’s table several times. The food is always delicious, and I am fussy! The service has always been good. I did come across the waitress that was negatively talked about in other reviews, and she was sullen, but I always make an effort to bring a smile to those sorts of people’s faces and it worked with her! A great cafe.

Interesting menu, all 3 of us chose a different cooked meal and all were tasty, and well presented. Quick service and friendly staff.. A little chilly with the door open but this is design of the cafe. Will definitely return. Parking: Great disability parking just outside door

Another new neighborhood adventure today. Grab a seat in this famous cafe & restaurant The Block. Very nice hospitality, waiters are young and energetic, smile on their faces, just love that kind of feeling. Order Harshbrown and coffee I am satisfied with the Harshbrown, very tasty. Great location, plenty of street parking, walking to countdown and liquor shop which is super convenient.

Great service, and the coffee is amazing. The food was a little disappointing. I had the Beef nachos, and my partner had the plate sized hash brown. The beef in my nachos was poorly seasoned and pretty bland. The hashbrown was nice but a little bit soggy.Food: 2/5

Me and a friend bought a $7 iced chocolate and the lady at the desk charged us $10 for blending the drink. She said we bought a smoothie when I asked her the reason for the higher charge on an item I didn't buy. The menu shows $7 on the iced chocolate and if you look at the smoothie menu there's a coffee option which is $9.00 she just added that option and charged an extra $1. I would try avoid the asian lady lady that has the bad attitude, the staff on the other hand are nice! Straight up fraud.. I would give that as a tip but after the bad service and the random charges I didn't want to consider this.
