If you like farmers markets, then it's suitable. Perhaps some stalls haven't returned back as there aren't that many farm produced. More stalls selling food than farm produced. However some of the farm products are really very fresh like free range eggs and avocadoes. Won't take you too long to walk around. Parking is easily to find but may need to walk around 100-200 steps.
Incredible variety of stalls! Stocked up on fruit, veg, bread, fish and meat. Had a very good coffee and ate the best Dutch croquettes kroketten & bitterballen we’ve had in NZ!
Been going for a long time now. Glad to see Covid19 didn't wipe it out. Best market in the Bay. Top quality produce with really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff/stall holders. Really enjoy the atmosphere here. Highly recommended for an enjoyable and relaxing morning of shopping, experience and time. The organizers along with the stall holders can be rightfully proud of what they have established here. An asset to Tauranga.
We've lived here 3 years and it was my first time visiting! Highly recommend if you're wanting locally grown fresh produce. There's also fresh hot food and coffee to snack on too! Will be going again, that's for sure!
Great place to get the best essentials for home. $20 tray of strawberries was a winner for our whanau
It’s pretty small, a couple of local businesses including a nut butter/granola, kombucha, dried mushrooms and healthy sweet treats mixed in with 2-3 bakeries, 2 meat delis, 2-3 food stalls, free range eggs, coffee carts and small fruit/veggie stands. Not much variety if you’re looking to try a variety of foods eg. like Matakana Markets but good enough for a short trip in you live locally/in the area. Fruit and vegetables are at great prices and very fresh!
This isn't the biggest market, but it has a nice variety of produce, some delicious cheese, good bread, and a few food stalls. We went early and it was already getting crowded; so I suspect it gets very busy later in the morning.
Love this little market. But then, who doesn't love a good market aye. Loads of fresh produce, great food for eating while browsing and listening to some live music. Only thing I would say is, get a coffee before you go in because if you attempt to get one from the guy on the coffee cart, you may have gone through the withdrawals and not actually feel like a coffee by the time it's in your hand, It takes that long.
Tauranga Farmers market is a great Saturday morning outing. Live music which is good to listen to. There is a good variety of stalls that have fresh produce to freshly baked bread. Good coffee and fresh flowers to take home. Really starts your weekend of giving ypu a good vibe.
We arrived maybe a little late around 10.30am. Still stalls with product available. Great Farmers Market to buy home grown veges, eggs etc direct. Well worth the visit & we will be returning over the coming weeks
