Very nice fresh fish, large portions and lovely thin and crispy coating of batter. Would be nice if they had some packs so you can order quickly as you have to buy inidivual items off the menu. Best to get takeaway as it gets very packed and the smell of fish guts is quite strong, unless your used to it. But overall, delicious.
If you love fish and sea, then this is the perfect place for you. You can enjoy fresh food, sea view and as well as beautiful Tarunga city. Nice place for gathering!
This place used to be one of my favorites. I first visited over 20 years ago when I was a student, and even after moving away, I would still drive 6 hours from Auckland a few times every year just to come back.nnUnfortunately, this recent visit was the most disappointing one.nnThe fish and chips were extremely salty — far beyond normal — which completely ruined the meal. On top of that, there was a live singer performing in the afternoon, but the volume was so loud that we couldn’t even have a normal conversation at our table.nnIt turned what should have been a relaxed and enjoyable visit into a very unpleasant experience.nnI really hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as this place clearly has a long history and loyal customers who expect much better.nn“I’ll come back again — I have a special attachment to this restaurant.”

Old school Fish and Chips on the waterfront. They also sell fresh seafood too. You line up and order. Get a number and wait. They will call your number when it's ready. Order individual items on the menu. It was busy today and waited around 25 mins for the food, but it was worth it. The fish was tasty and fresh and good value. Seating outside and paid parking across the street
