It’s not that good. Too many kids working there. I’d say most of them are around 12-15 years old. They lack social skills, which is reasonable for that age, but you should be hiring people with better skills… not some 12 year old that you can underpay.
I would give this location a 5 if it weren't for the horrible car park layout. The store itself is fine, clean, easy to get around in, and the staff are perfectly friendly and courteous, but that car park. Like a maze sometimes getting in and out of that location, and if you have never visited or it has been some time, it can get a little frustrating to turn on to a one way between the other shops trying to go East out of the car park. Any other direction is a bit better, but not by a lot. I think it is the land plot itself just has too many angles to the location site that make the car park a weird layout to maneuver and narrow alleys that are not clearly marked their for traffic or flow. Go there, you will see what I mean. Otherwise, it's a New World, and if you have visited one, you are likely to feel at home in another. That, I can say, consistency is actually a pretty good thing. Prices are, well, it depends on what you are getting, but generally I don't find the prices less than the competition. In some cases, I am okay with that as the stores seem a bit better presented and selection is better at times. But I guess everywhere is getting expensive nowadays. Would go again, just need to keep in mind the weird layouts of the exits and entrances in relation as well to the street layouts and lights.
Great set up supermarket but very busy with lots of seniors clearly doing what i am doing, shopping expecting to get the Gold Card discount. However, we ventured there as it was a Tuesday and on there web page a 5% discount for Gold Card users was noted, i then questioned with the cashier about the G.C discount yo be told a voucher would be issued, on checkout i noted the voucher was a $5 voucher on our next purchase which expires in 14 dys and have to spend $5 to get it, our cashier made 2x double charges which had to be reversed, no specials noted in the end tally making it difficult to read our savings, so not 5% as advertised ! For a $284.75 shop i got $5 voucher on my next purchase, what happened to the $14.24%5 discount as per web page? I will run this by supermarket/fair-trade commissioner to double check this if i am correct this is miss leading, i cannot believe that all those seniors were shopping for a $5 voucher and possibly less.
Omg, super staff member Rosie, was a hostess with the mostesss. She even searched my name as I am a club card member. Thank you for the overall customer super service with a smile experience
Very disappointed as New World seems to have deteriorated. Produce old. Peaches in bin mostly rotten. My club card has $10 showing. For those customers who have not loaded their card with a pin, there is a default pin on eftpost machine 0000# to access card and accrued money.... earned by shopping at New World! For those like me, who have added a pin, and cannot remember it, there is no such convenience. The default does not work for us and so money cannot be accessed without ringing a number and getting pin changed. This must be in business hours and it's Saturday. What's the point of putting a pin on my card if this convenience is not extended to me too? What a joke and money making racket on the part of new world. Anticipating busy people like me won't get around to ringing up for pin change so money will not be accessed. How archaic. After years and years of shopping here, I will no longer do so.
Lovely selection as always. Rotisserie chickens could be cooked 15-20 minutes longer, as pink in middle, compared to Countdowns, are well done.
They're selling plums with a sign that says "red flesh". They are not. They have red skin but the flesh is yellow. They charge the premium price, which I would be happy with if it was red flesh. It's not. LIES and THIEVERY to charge primo price and lie to shoppers about the product. Not happy.
Really, $6.50 for a pineapple and pakn save $3.50. your a greedy person Mr new world Brookfield. Shame on new world and foodstuffs for not providing the public with enough MasterChef items. I didn't need any but many people are upset. Doesn't matter if it was a successful promo, order more stock next time. People will go to countdown now!!!
I recently visited our local supermarket and was pleasantly surprised by the level of cleanliness and organization. While it might be a tad pricier than other options, the quality of products and overall shopping experience more than justifies the cost. The shelves were well-stocked, and the fresh produce section looked impeccable. It's evident that they prioritize maintaining a clean and inviting environment, making my shopping trip a truly enjoyable one.
Terrible experience. Struggled to find product in Freezers. Nobody on floor to help solve the query. Had to go to the self checkouts to ask for somebody to help on the floor. Had to wait ages for somebody to arrive. This person was really helpful but unable to help. I purchased 2 items. The scanner at self checkouts would not accept my flybuys card. Nobody around to sort out the issue. I saw a free. Heckout operator and took my 2 items to her till. The scanner accepted my flybuys card but she had to retry the credit card about 3 to 4 times. The checkout operator asked if I wanted my receipt. I asked her for it. She then tried convincing the pay wave to work....it finally did....then again asked if I wanted my receipt. I left the store with my granddaughter and the 2 items which totalled less than $10, only to have a store person chase after me at my car to tell me I hadn't paid! I showed her the receipt and she still insisted it hadn't gone through. I told her again that I'd paid and she finally had a proper look. She then asked if there had been somebody straight after me! No apology received. Such a horrible experience.
