Amazing hostel with an awesome lounge. There are always people playing games and music. The kitchen was very clean all the time and very well equipped. The staff was always very friendly and a few of them used to hangout at the lounge after their shift and just having fun with the backpackers. Every night at 8 pm they are making free chocolate pudding with ice-cream for everyone for free and it is delicious! I would definitely come again!

They have all the basics covered here, plus many extra lovely details - a yard and porch you want to spend time in, little bowls of fruit and flowers, oil and spices in the kitchen, and the pudding is delicious. Staff are good people. Tho it's a few extra minutes walk to city center, it's closer to the pier, some of the river access, Founders park, center of NZ walk. Also the #3 bus stops at the front door anyway. Good stay thank you

Best hostel we've stayed in so far on our NZ trip! Staff are really friendly and helpful, beds are comfortable and facilities very clean. Got a real cosy feel to it and the chocolate pudding is a great way to get everyone into the living area in the evening for some relaxed chats. No issues whatsoever during our stay and I definitely recommend staying here!

Best hostel I've stayed in New Zealand! Super cosy, with a lovely atmosphere and very helpful staff. Rooms and bathrooms were kept clean and up to standard. Great location as well. The free chocolate pudding every night was also a very pleasant addition! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in Nelson.

The location is a bit off so you have to walk  into town for a bit. Rooms are quite spacious, the beds offer no curtains or alike for privacy though. Bathrooms are clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere overall.
