Heard good things about this place. So decided to come here with family. We ordered a bunch of different things, peking duck 3 courses, awesome eggplant, plum pork and fish tofu. Everything tasted pretty good, however I wouldn't say its the best chinese restaurant I've been to in NZ but its not bad. The thing that makes me like this place was that the service is quite good and the place feels classy. The staffs doesn't rush you to leave and it's just a very comfortable environment to dine in. Definitely recommend to come in big group.
I know here is very famous with their yumcha. However, I tried their Beijing duck tonight and it gave me so much satisfaction. I ordered the large portion of prawns with garlic too, it was so yum. I will definitely come back.
We came by early for yum cha. We did try to book a table but they don't take reservations for lunch. There is street parking as well as parking for the restaurant down their driveway, keep an eye out for the signs.nWe got there around 1130 and it was quite empty so it wasn't too hard to get a table. It got really busy when we left, with a line waiting by the door. The place isn't very big and does have a cafe feel to it.nYou order from a menu, just pick the items you want and pass it onto the staff. They have a range of standard items like the siu mai as well as more interesting items like the rabbit coconut jelly. The food was quite nice. They also charge tea per person. The fish noodles was something different. The noodles themselves were made from fish and had a firm texture but it didn't have a fishy flavour. The mushroom dumpling were quite nice.nThis was a nice place for yum cha hidden nearby the Albany Westfield. It is worth coming early so get a table without having to wait.
Over ordered as always, but no regrets. the dimsum here are well made and not rushed like some other places. The chicken feet was quite good.
Came for Yum Cha on a weekday and it was reasonably busy. They have both downstairs and upstairs areas, with Private Rooms also. They have their own carpark behind the restaurant, so no need to pay for parking on the street. The food is tasty and freshly made. Excellent flavours and lovely atmosphere for a gathering. Tried dinner at 5.30pm tonight. Food came out fast and the dishes were good size and very tasty.
