Chicken skewers and noodle soup was delicious! seasoning was just right so we were able to clean out the dishes without leaving anything.nPeople already knew this restaurant was delicious so there were a lots of customers enjoying their meals.
Nice atmosphere and good staff service. The dishes were more Vietnamese-inspired or fusion but the seasoning were nice. Rice cakes had a tad more of tapioca than rice flour, and spicy beef pho had a pork rib. Which is not a negative point but kind of surprising.
Delicious spicy sharing meals nDefinitely go try out the fatty, rich, new pull-a part lamb ribs and the cumin pork ribs. For the vegetarians, their cucumber salad and the spicy cold noodles were amazing top it off with a couple of potato skewers
After Mr. Hao Albany was replaced with the new Vietnamese restaurant Saigon Commune, I found myself missing the old place. It used to be my regular date night spot with my partner, so I was surprised to learn of the change.nnThe new signature dish, 'What the Pho,' was quite funny name and made it interesting. At $22, the average price on the menu is quite reasonable, which I appreciate. One highlight was the half-and-half Banh Mi and Pho option, perfect for those wanting to sample two dishes at once.nnOn our visit, we ordered the half-and-half Banh Mi & Beef Pho, Banh Xeo Crispy rice cracker with Prawns, Bun Bo Hue Noodles XL, and some beers. The Banh Xeo was particularly yummy, wonderfully crispy and flavourful. However, the other dishes were just okay: the flavors seemed a bit muted compared to those of other Vietnamese restaurants. Perhaps they used fewer spices, but whatever the reason, they lacked the punch I was expecting. While the portion sizes were decent, they felt a tad small given the prices.nnNext time, I'm keen to try the skewers, as I did love the skewers of Mr Hao.
We dined here as a large group and had a wonderful experience. Food arrived fast, and service was great. Pork trotters and Sichuan pork ribs were definitely the stars of the show, both being very tender and juicy. Skewers were also quite reliable. Overall we were impressed and will be back again soon.
