Speight's Ale House Nelson

Have eatten here a few times now both lunchtime and dinner both menu's are fine. The steak is great so is the beef Wellington alittle bigger would be great but still filling as is the stuffed chicken breast are fantastic. Would come back again next time in Nelson.

Been a while since I've really enjoyed a meal out that ticks all the right boxes food, service and atmosphere. Really impressed with the wait time on food it was long and it was all cooked to perfection the Beef Wellington was absolutely amazing, along with the Chicken Filo the desert was right on the money, postive atmosphere, highly recommend hand down you got to try it worth every cent

Great food, large portions and big prices for mains. The cod cpuld have been fresher, but the ribs were excellent. Everyone had a great time and the service was very good. We had a table of 15 on a busy day and the wait was reasonable. Highly recommended.

Ordered GF DF fish butty. Quantity of fish was very lacking and limited. Especially at $23!nnWrong drinks were delivered also.

Made a booking for my daughters birthday dinner at her request and made that aware on the phone via booking, on arrival we were greeted with terrible customer service and getting strange looks from the staff.. not even a hello and an older lady asked another staff member do they know about the cake charge? And said it was $20 just to bring in a cake.. we left and went to Armadillos in Richmond who was more than happy to accommodate us and even offered to decorate the cake.. asking for $20 to bring in a cake when we were already prepared to pay for over priced and average food is crazy
