Speight's Ale House Nelson

Been a while since I've really enjoyed a meal out that ticks all the right boxes food, service and atmosphere. Really impressed with the wait time on food it was long and it was all cooked to perfection the Beef Wellington was absolutely amazing, along with the Chicken Filo the desert was right on the money, postive atmosphere, highly recommend hand down you got to try it worth every cent

Went for lunch on a Sunday. Food was fantastic and the beer good. Good and friendly service. Atmosphere was friendly and intimate.

Had the Black Cherry Chicken. Chicken was sliced ontop of the lentils. Chicken was not stuffed and was very dry. All of it was Tasteless and most of the meal was potato mash. Very disappointed. Sat upstairs, when the air con switched off it got very breezy and cold.

Great food, large portions and big prices for mains. The cod cpuld have been fresher, but the ribs were excellent. Everyone had a great time and the service was very good. We had a table of 15 on a busy day and the wait was reasonable. Highly recommended.
