Upon arrival in the late afternoon, the concierge who was on was extremely helpful and obliging with all our inquiries that we decided to choose this location. He explained everything that we needed to be aware of, Inclusive of even bringing us our spa robes later in the evening when we decided to book massages. My sister and I were happy with the staff especially after the last place we had stayed in Hamilton.nnRooms clean, spacious and warm. No traffic can be heard,no neighbours either.Basic kitchen, all clean and organised, even a small stove top. Shower/spa was awesome, toiletries lovely, except our 3/6 toiletries available were empty, but we had our own.nnTV says 50 plus channels but we could only get 15 LOL.nnMassages on sites were really good too.nDefinitely will re book if we return to Rotorua. We stayed in a 2 bedroom, with electric blankets too.
Great service , very friendly staff.. a very comfortable king sized bed. We enjoyed the Powerful shower. Our room had a huge spa but we were so busy we didn't use it. Close to all amenities. Loved the location
Good location in town. Check-in was quick and they were very helpful in explaining local attractions and places to eat. Parking was easy. Rooms are a good size. Nice powerful showers. Little kitchenette with microwave and fridge, toaster and kettle. Very nice for a few nights stay.
Unpleasant Stay – Definitely Not RecommendednnWe stayed here recently and had a very disappointing experience.nnFirst, the kettle provided in the room had clear green mold or bacterial growth inside photo attached. When I raised this concern with the reception during checkout, the lady on duty insisted it was “just Rotorua water” and claimed they clean the rooms every day. However, if regular cleaning was done, there would be no mold buildup like that. Instead of giving a sincere apology or showing concern, she was dismissive, defensive, and unprofessional.nnSecondly, the room was nothing like the advertised photos. It was obvious the pictures must have been taken years ago. The actual condition was very run-down, with visible rust, dirt, mold, and peeling paint throughout the bathroom and fixtures photos attached. The “spa tub” was just an outdated old jacuzzi that felt questionable in cleanliness. Inside the toilet bowl, there were even small brown particles left uncleaned.nnThe facilities inside the room were extremely old and uncomfortable. The fridge was noisy all night despite adjustments, and would randomly make loud ice-drop-like sounds early in the morning.nnThe bathroom was poorly designed — there was no proper shower box. Guests are expected to climb dangerously into a high jacuzzi tub just to take a shower. This setup is clearly unsafe, especially for elderly guests or those with mobility issues. There was also no proper ventilation or extractor fan.nnAdding to the frustration, the soundproofing was terrible. Around 4 AM, the neighboring family began talking loudly and children were screaming. We couldn’t sleep properly with all the noise.nnOverall, this place is overrated, overpriced, and not worth the $300 a night. Definitely would not return and highly do not recommend to anyone considering it. There are much better and more honestly managed accommodations elsewhere in Rotorua.
There was complimentary coffee and tea provided, complete with milk and cookies. The rooms were nice and there was a hot tub in the suites with complimentary bathing salts. The staff were highly accomodating and were able to get us in on short notice for a couples massage. We were able to easily get to the other places we wanted to in the area from here. Our only issue was the smell, but that was the town from the springs, and was no fault of the hotel.
