Sen

This really is a little bit of Hanoi in the middle of Auckland. The atmosphere is intriguingly different and took me back to my trip through Vietnam. The staff were friendly, welcoming and just attentive enough. The menu has variety and for good reasons it took a while to make a choice. All our meals were beautifully presented, well cooked and tasty. It was a lovely evening and as we were staying in the Mt Eden area the short evening walk was well rewarded. A BIG thumbs up!

I often come here. They have good food, fresh, rich taste, good service. Don't miss the drink menu that is worth a try. The restaurant has a unique design, warm tones. Free parking opposite after 6pm.

Sen is located in an interesting renovated building over two levels. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although one wore his mask under his nose even after two years of pandemic training. Our party of 4 sat in a booth with 4 booth bench seats and one standard chair around the table. I started using one of the booth chairs next to my wife but found it very deep so you had to sit forward and soon my back was aching so I swapped to the lone chair which I found much more comfortable. The first round of tasting plates were exceptional and provided a mix of variety and intriguing taste. The mains however were a bit underwhelming in comparison. Some were nice but we should have stuck to more of the small plates and dropped the mains.

Great service and food came pretty but not too quickly. Flavours were great but a few more and diverse vegetarian options would be good to see. Will definitely come again.

Sen is a really great place for a date night. All their cocktails were delicious, I would recommend the mango one and the espresso one. We got a bunch of their small plates which were alright but their mains were delicious. We got the beef cheek and curry which were the standout dishes.

It’s a neat restaurant, friendly staff and good food. The spring rolls were delicious with the fresh ingredients. The fried squid with salted egg yolk & stir fried beef is recommended.

Nice Vietnamese restaurant located in central Auckland. Came here for lunch and loved the atmosphere so much. Compared to most other Vietnamese restaurant it's got an upbeat, funky feeling. Food is nice, ordered a rare Beef noodle soup, medium price range, will come back and try something else next time. Only meter street parking available, so a bit inconvenient. Staffs are friendly and shows the happy face, which is great. Highly recommended

What a beautiful space! Sen has a very warm atmosphere to it. Very chic! Great for a date ! My partner treated me to dinner at Sen last night. The service is wonderful, the staff are all very kind and their lead waitress is very attentive! She explained the whole menu to us, pointing out Vietnamese favorites and staple dishes for us ! The food was Crazy! You must try the Nem Lui pork skewers they are cooked on a lemongrass stalk that gives you a little spritz of flavour every time you bite ! We also had the summer rolls and spring rolls. Both of which were so fragrant and came with a variety of dipping sauces. Try the summer roll with the hoison sauce! So good ! Our waitress even went the extra mile to set our entrees up as a sharing platter since we were on a date! My partner order the Bo Cari. A bright beef curry. The sauce was nice and thick and the flavour kind creeps up on you. Many layers to the sauce. And nice soft veges to accompany! Decent portions I ordered the Ca Sot Man. A Tarakihi fish With a sweet plum sauce base. There were veges on the plate but the fish sings by itself. The sauce is a little sweet, a little sour, but all round so much flavour!!!! Great portion size also! And not too heavy Add on a Vina colada a kinda fizzy pinacolada and your night will be made. 10/10 will see you again !!!!

Wonderful restaurant, only slight let down was the entrees. The sauces tasted quite one-note, like a store bought bottle rather freshly made. On the other hand the mains were delicious, as were the tasty non-alcoholic cocktails. Will happily return again.

The place was nice and the food was delicious. Went there with a group of 4 and we ordered varieties of dish and we were satisfied them. The only problem was finding parking space on the side of the road but, the restaurant itself was good.
