Very delighted to have had their Lou Su Fan. I asked to have it made stir fry style, they were happy to accommodate. Yummy food, quick and pleasant service. A Malaysian restaurant worth visiting.
Char kuey teow was loaded with perfectly cooked vegetables. It did benefit from adding chili sauce- and lemon juice! The first restaurant I’ve been to with bottles of lemon juice at every table. Awesome. Very nice mee goreng too- dark and flashed not quite to a char.
Service was great! The food came out promptly and was very fresh. Portions were also very generous! As a Malaysian, the laksa we ordered is the closest taste to what we eat in Malaysian, and the wontons were full of meat.
Food tastes too awesome, my favourite Malaysian restaurant in Wellington.Food: 5/5
Cheap yummy Malaysia food. Really enjoyed our meals!!Food: 5/5
This place is simply amazing! Authentic Malaysian food. Friendly staff and homely atmosphere. 100% would recommend.Recommended dishesMalaysian Curry, Char Kuey Teow
The beef in the pho was chewy and the broth was flavorless. Wontons were quite nice. My companion complained that the tom yum nasi goreng was missing the tom yum flavour. My wife had the chicken curry with roti and was happy with with it.
Food choices are huge and yummy. But the restaurant is small and needing a modern upgrade. Service is fast and good.Food: 5/5
If you want the best authentic Malaysia food in Wellington, then this is the spot for you. Kelvin, Hon, and their family have been running this Cuba Street institution for well over 20 years now. The food is second to none, and the gritty atmosphere harks back to that of those old-school Malaysian eateries I used to visit when living in KL. The eclectic mix of local Wellington patrons keeps things real and friendly. It has the pure essence of 90's Cuba Street and is nothing short of epic. Everything on the menu is on point. You only need to ask for Vegan, and Kelvin will make it for you. Special mentions are. Grilled Fish All the grilled dishes are 5 stars Nasi Lemak, Nonya Chicken, Dual Noodle stir fry, Claypot Yee Mee, Laksa, Asam Laksa, The Epic Chicken wings Just to name a few.
food felt like home. flavours are on poin. run-by an intimate family who are friendly & i would definitely come back to support local biz. we had the lor mee, beef rendang, satays chicken & beef with a side of roti canai. needless to say, food was delish!
