Authentic Malaysian restaurant in the heart of the city. We tried the Curry Laksa - decent size bowl with fragrant curry broth. I was somewhat expecting large seafood specimens but perhaps to achieve a lower price point only $1 more than the chicken version smaller ones were used. Char Kuay Teow was very good - appropriate 'wok hei' and is probably the best halal one I've ever had. Fried meehoon was very yummy, some larger prawns were used - was also happy to find clam meat. All in all a worthwhile place to dine if you're looking for authentic Malaysian food.
Went to istana for our 5 anniversary The place , vibes , the friendly customer service were all very very good They asked how was the food and if we do need anything else The food were fine as well but the amounts was too little And the curry served alone without rice and then you need to ask for a rice side That's doesn't make any sense Curry cant be eaten alone and should be served with rice otherwise the meal is lacking and missing an essential part of it Anyway the food is not bad but the prices are high and the amounts are not that much
The food was really nice and it's affordable. But the ice cream my friend ordered was so little compared to mine. And the cost is almost the same.Food: 4/5
Good food and taste. We were 4 adults and 3 kids. We had fire vege dish. Prawn dish and lamb dish. Can’t remember the exact names. Pratha or martabak were really nice. With satay chicken skewers. And soft drinks . Overall bill 210$. This was expensive mainly bcuz we went over board with chicken skewers and ordered 5 otherwise the bill shd have been around 175$. Definitely worth visiting. And it’s halal.
The service here is amazing! The people are so nice and friendly, I cannot wait to go back! It was my first time having Malaysian food, and I can happily report that it is delicious. Vegetarian options: The vegetarian option was one of the favorites among our group. Dietary restrictions: They were very accommodating to the dietary restrictions that some in our group had.
Been here a few times now. Very good customer service. Good value for money. The food is incredible. They are open till 10pm as well. Went there at 0945pm in our last visit as a walk in. Had no problem serving us. The only distaste we had was that the table was a bit small. There wasn't adequate space to place the food ordered for 4 party. 4 plates of mains, 4 drinks and 1 entrée. This was not a deterrent, we will go back here in the future.
Went here to celebrate my sons birthday. This was a new experience for me but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. We order mixed satay for entree, the satay sauce was not what I expected. It was very delicious and really nutty, loved the peanut chips. For mains we had honey butter chicken which was amazing, granted had to order a side order of rice which we chose coconut rice and that was amazing that we had two as we were doing a share of the mains. The other main meal we had was char kwaytieaw seafood and once again amazing food. Beautiful presentation, to top it off we share a garlic roti which was beautiful as well. We had a strawberry lasi which I didn't know you could, well that was a thumbs up as it was so flavorful. The service was really great, our waiter regularly checked on us to see if we were ready to order as we were a big party. They regularly brought us water and efficient in taking away our dirty dishes. Since we were sharing all of the food ordered, extra plates were brought out for us. I love the fact that the food prep is halal which is great for those who require this service. This is a great place to eat and the prices are very reasonable, would love to eat there again some time.

Very nice ambient. Authentic Malaysian food...owner very pleasant lady. Highly recommended. Dietary restrictions: Halal food
Really poor service and average food. We waited an hour after ordering for our food. During this hour a waitress came over and asked us to be quiet. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was busy and noisy. I advised we aren't going to lower our noise level as we are being reasonable to which the waitress said "sorry my boss doesn't like it when people laugh loud"... When we paid, the waitress asked how everything was. I explained the request to be quiet was uncalled for and made us feel unwelcome. We'd had 1 drink each and we're not any louder than other tables. She explained they had asked several tables to be quiet as some customers don't like the noise, although when asked she said no customer had complained about the noise...
