Surprisingly nice food and service, despite only having one staff by the time we got there. He is friendly, super patient and helpful when taking our orders. The pizza is also great, it’s got crispy crust and not too soggy or oily, we really enjoyed it.
Food was tasty, atmosphere was nice and service was fast. Only problem is they didn't have any spoons left for the ice cream. Overall a very good experienceFood: 4/5
Sal's has the most faithful rendition of a good New York pizza that my upstate New Yorker wife had found in NZ, and therefore our go to establishment pizza. Massive pies with great traditional, and some proprietary toppings as well, all on a super, thin base that you can fold. My favorite are the spicy, but also available as non-spicy buffalo wings with blue cheese dressing. There are other great side goodies on offer too, my wife is partial to sneaky pepperoni wheel, and I'm happy to seagull any leftovers. Great clean diner-esk atmosphere with booths and U.S sports on the big screen. They are a little pricey, but usually we'll get a next day lunch for the both of us after we're done for dinner. If you're looking for a great New York style pizza you'll not go wrong at Sal's!
Grabbed a takeaway pepperoni pizza. It was awesome, fed 3 of us and had some for lunch the next day. Good job guys.Food: 5/5
Friendly staff, great chill atmosphere in the store and their pizza is super tasty. Any time we've had an issue they've been quick to sort it out with great customer service. I used to hate tomatoes and tomato based foods but Sal's legendary sauce was the one that converted me because it's just that good. I'd definitely recommend the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and Garlic Knots.
They got our delivery order mixed up. Which is fine, it happens. However a poor effort was made to correct the issue. 90 minutes later and the order wasn't here. So I called them again, our food was still waiting on the driver to collect. Who wants 2 hour old pizza delivered 90 minutes too late? No offer was made to remake, all they said was I could come and pick it up. Queue one hungry and disappointed family. Super disappointed in Sal's, what has been my go to for years will no longer be getting my patronage.
Have been going here often ever since they opened a few years ago. Always the best quality pizza and sides. Don’t be intimidated by the price because the portion sizes and class New York style and you get great value out of that. Always a great place to go and the staff are super friendly and helpful. Tip: sign up for a sals account and you’ll get discounts and promo codes from them in your email inbox.
It's NYC on Litchfield Street. Sal's is everything it is ment to be and more. Friendly staff, great kiwi service, and True Authentic New York Pizza. Look out New Zealand the best pizza in town has arrived. Outstanding! A must do for lunch or dinner. You won't be disappointed.
I love how massive and unique their pizza flavours were. It's thin, tasty, lots of toppings and their chicken is yummm.. I love also their bread, we love trying new things..
Food was absolutely amazing. But this was suddenly turned around when sitting inside finished our pizza and the staff were out the back smoking the smell came into the seating area it was absolutely disgusting
