Ordered sal's NBL meal deal tonight from Mt Maunganui Sals. Half cheese half pepperoni. Waiting time was pretty good but not so sure the pizza is meant to be this burnt! Tasted like melted cheese on cabin bread crackers! For $37 it was pretty disappointing! Especially since we do not live nearby and can't just return it even the kids didn't want to eat it aue!
First and last time at sals pizza tonight. The tables were so filthy, and the service was very poor, the shift manager and staff were happy to talk among themselves. The pizza was big but very average.
not normally type of person to leave a bad review but unfortunately sals mount maunganui has disappointed my partner and I too many times now. the customer service is absolutely shocking. there have been many different occasions where we have stood at till for over 5 minutes without been served and the workers will just walk past, looking at us, making us feel uncomfortable and sometimes have to ask to be served. the place is pretty much been run by teenagers who seem to have little to no experience/training as shown in quality of food. the pizza’s and sides are always made to an extremely low quality and not worth money. the sals sauce always comes watery rare occasion we get nice one , the garlic knots are really doughy and lack garlic flavour. The pepperoni pizza we ordered there was only a small circle of pepperoni in the middle of the pizza and the rest was just pizza dough For the money my partner and I have continued to spend here we are so bummed about the food and service being provided://.
Honestly, nothing to do with the food, don't have sals where I live and was excited to order one of my favourite meals. Turned up during opening hours and was greeted with a sign on the door saying they would be back in an hour, I unfortunately could not wait an hour. Not mad, just bitterly disappointed.
The pizza here is great, as is the service. This is the most New York like pizza I've had outside of New York! Note: Be sure to try the garlic knots! They are wonderfully chewy and garlicky, the best we've ever had even better than other Sal's locations in Auckland!
The pizzas here are usually a 10/10 awesome place but our pizza tonight was not great. Didn’t seem to be as much ingredients as usual maybe was made in a rush or a new employee made it not sure. Hopefully they haven’t started cutting corners. We will order again for sure since it’s usually amazing.
It's my wife's favorite pizza place. Mozzarella sticks, yum! Pizzas are great. Buffalo wings are my favorite. Thank you!
This was some of the worst pizza I've had. The base was burnt on the outside and soft in the middle. Definitely not crispy as a New York pizza should be. I give them only 1 star for their efforts. It was nothing like the Sal's pizza I've had in Auckland.
it was OK first time at Sals at the Mount however despite opening hours being 11.30 doors didn't properly open until about 11.45 however the food was still great
Love the pizza service was great. Feel like I'm in New York when dinning in. Love the style of the restaurant.
