Ramen Takara Browns Bay

Me and my daughter ordered Yakisoba and fried rice!nYakisoba was more on noodles very less meat which is pork like only 3 pcs thin slices! Like really? Pork is already a cheap meat to buy from the supermarket! Will not coming back there again not worth it for the price! Fried rice is more on rice too nothing special! We literately ate carbo no protein just plain carbohydrates which is yuck!

Ramen Takara has been our go-to and well-recommended Ramen place! They had exceptional Ramen, from noodles ,to the broth. Amazing service and lovely atmosphere . We have been coming back for 3 years now.nnHowever on a recent visit , and bringing a Ramen lover friend from overseas to try their Ramen, we all got disappointed .nnThe quality has changed . The noodles was no longer as soft and fresh, the broth was no longer rich and creamy. Tasted as if it was watered down and the boiling of the meat was rushed . Wontons had very tiny fillings in them.nA shame how I was so proud enough to even take a friend there, but this time around it just fell below our standard and expectations : won't be coming back for a while .it's no longer the Ramen Takara that we know.

This shop has homemade noodle and the vendors offer a variety of noodle dishes to choose from. This seems to be rare in Auckland.nnWe ordered seafood fried noodles, which is a kind of noodles that is fried in oil and is very crispy, while the other part is soaked in the soup and is soft, elastic and delicious. Rich variety of seafood. This noodle is very similar to the one I ate as a child in Shanghai 40 years ago. At that time, it would only be eaten once during the New Year and special occasions. However, this cooking method is almost impossible to find in Shanghai today. Dandan noodles are also great.nnThe staff are also very welcoming and smart. What a wonderful encounter

The menu came without Unagi Eel so I opted for the Teriyaki Salmon.nQuick table service, polite staff. Wonderful presentation of food.nDelightful colours, textures and flavours.nVery authentic Japanese. 5

My Japanese friend told me this restaurant was featured in Japanese TV. Best ramen place ever. Even by Japanese standards who just arrived from Japan gives a five star
