Have been wanting to try this hidden ramen eatery in Orewa. I believe it is the legit authentic real traditional operated by a Japanese couple Japanese ramen eatery. I had the most popular miso ramen. It was a real delight. Perfect on a cold wet winter day. The cloudy broth was warming, deeply flavourful, rich savoury with that umami flavour. Definitely be back for the rest of the menu to try.
We really loved our experience at Yawara Ramen Bar. It felt super authentic and really intimate. The fact that the main entrance isn't facing straight into the main restaurant, which is also a great feature, so it's not distracting. The food is amazing, great noodles and really tasty fried chicken. We will be back to try something else next time.
Nice little hidden gem, this place is well worth the stop by! The Karaage was very fresh, tender and crunchy, the takoyaki was filled with generous amounts of octopus and the Ramen was beautifully made. We will definitely be stopping by here again in the future.
All the food taste yum!! My fav is the cheese cake that has a dense and moist texture that melts in your mouth! But it’s not available all the time.What’more, the interior design of restaurant is unique and charming. It has a lovely Japanese anime style which is fantastic! As I really enjoy that type of animation. It felt very welcoming and charming. Additionally, they have a counter where you can purchase some homemade snacks, which I’m definitely planning to try next time.
A cute little ramen bar hidden in Orewa.nThe ramen are okay, one of the better ones in NZ. Loved their matcha cheesecake. The place is quite comfortable, makes you feel like you are home.
