Great lunch spot while shopping in St Heliers mid-week — fantastic view right on Tamaki Drive overlooking Rangitoto. On a rainy day we warmed up with Chicken & Prawn Dumplings in a chilli, lime bone broth with prawn oil — perfect!nThe Coconut Lime Ceviche with chilli, coriander was refreshing, and the massive sesame rice crackers were a fun, crunchy accompaniment.nWe were early and had great service, lovely setting — highly recommend for a relaxed lunch.

I’ve been dining here for a number of years and have always regarded it as a dependable local restaurant, which is why this experience was so disappointing.nnWe ordered two mains pork belly and salmon. The pork arrived without its rice, and the second main did not arrive at all. After waiting around 15 minutes, we began eating the pork assuming the rest of the order would follow promptly. It didn’t.nnAfter approximately 30 minutes in total, I had to approach another staff member to explain we were still missing a dish and that the pork had gone cold while we waited. She offered to take it back and keep it warm until the order was complete. When the meals finally arrived, however, the pork was still cold.nnNo one checked on the table at any stage of the meal. I also found a piece of foil in the salmon a basic quality control issue that should never reach a guest. To finish, plates were cleared while we were still eating, again without anyone asking how the food was.nnWe understand that service can be busy my partner is a head chef with over ten years’ experience but what happened here wasn’t a single mistake. It was a breakdown in communication between kitchen and floor, a lack of oversight at the pass, and inattentive service throughout.nnThis wasn’t the standard we’ve previously experienced here, and it’s not acceptable for a restaurant that has built a strong local reputation. I genuinely hope this feedback is taken seriously and that the issues are addressed. I’ve also emailed management with this feedback but have yet to receive any response.

We called in for Drinks during a loOoOoOong eBike Ride. We parked them right outside and sat next to them while being treated to Table-Service from the nicest staff, ever. With our Coffees & Beer! we couldn't resist their Crispy Cauliflower & Curry Sauce, delicious. Highly recommend anyone visit Porch.

Friendly and attentive service all evening from the whole team. You didn't have to wait long for the dishes to be served. Chill and relaxing ambiance. Great first time dining experience at this restaurant.
