Visitor to Christchurch. Have to agree with others posting about the pulled pork sandwich. Its extremely tasty. Really well done right down to the bread. Nice work. Accompanied by their own pilsner which I would describe as being a solid effort. And while we are at it a big shout out to the staff. Great bunch.
With an 8month old and 2.5 year old we find hard to get out for dinner these days, but today we visited Pomeroy for a roast dinner. The staff were very accommodating, and we really felt welcome with kids. The roast dinner was yummy and we all enjoyed it. We will definitely be back. Thanks guys.

Easily one of the best pubs in New Zealand. Great food menu, amazing range of beers, superb hospitality. Worth a detour
Great beer selection. We only had snack food but from what we had and saw food was pretty good. Live music on the Sunday afternoon we went.
Superb beer selection in an historic location. Garden bar a smoking venue so not really attractive. Music was a solo guitarist playing olde English folk music. Family environment, nice old pics on the walls.
