What a breathtaking place! This scenic park reserve is surrounded by lush greenery, with mountains, rough walking paths, and natural steps that take you on a little adventure. The highlight is the beautiful waterfall at the end — a perfect reward after the walk. The atmosphere is peaceful and refreshing, with the sound of birds, flowing water, and clean, oxygen-rich air all around. It’s an amazing spot for a quiet day out with the family, away from the city. Highly recommended for anyone who loves nature and a bit of exploration!
A sweet escape for hectic week with waterfalls as the reward. Easy track for kids, only take 15minutes walk to the waterfall. There was a picnic area not far from the entrance, nearby we can found a 15m long weta cave before the duck pond. Just follow the path at the end we arrived at the waterfalls. In the other side near the entrance, there were water wheels.
Maybe the most beautiful little reserve in the Hutt Valley. Great place for picnics and the trek up to the waterfall seems almost prehistoric in places...a real hidden gem just 5 minutes from Lower Hutt CBD.
Such a pleasant place. Not a long walk to the waterfalls. Only 15 min each way.
