Parakai Springs

As the last surviving thermal hotpools near Auckland, this place deserves a visit. It has a cooler outside pool which is better in summer, and a hotter indoor one which is better in winter. For the kids there are two hydroslides which will keep them entertained for an hour or so. There is a 70s charm to this place, but it could be so much more with some effort and renovations...

Adults Only outdoor rock pools were my favourite. Very relaxing. Rain was light and the water temperature, perfect! The indoor pool was a little too hot for me, but, my husband loved it! This is a family favourite for birthdays of all ages. Relax, and enjoy. AA+++

Filthy changing rooms. Outdated buildings. Smelly water closed. Broken pool tiles and joints. Dirty water in the hot pool as well as the slides. Not very accommodating staff regarding the use of the place with kids. Very, very loud and continuous music. Overpriced lockers at 12, yes 12 dollars! Very, very, VERY expensive place with $80 for a family pass. This is a shame. For this very low level of quality, the entry price for a family should be around 30 dollars, max.

hydro slides were quite a rush but felt safe enough for our young boys to enjoy as well.Kids enjoyed the obstacle course and the kids corner. It was busy but there was not a long wait at all to go down the slides which I thought was pretty convenient. Life guards were visible and friendly. Entrance fees are well worth it considering you have full access to the slides both pools and the kids corner. Totally recommend this place to families with children for a fun filled day out.

This place deserves a visit. Kids had so much fun and mom enjoyed the indoor pool as she loves the hot pool. Slide looks a bit scary but it was really safe. I highly recommend this pool

Over priced, very outdated for the price changing rooms dirty. The adult area was down for maintenance which we was told after paying $30.. to which they didn’t compensate it.. they were happy to take our $10 ea for 30mins… also doesn’t have direction polls to show you which area to go to.. the only thing good about the place was that staff meet us on time to open spa doors.. once inside it was extremely plain and didn’t look like the place was loved at all.. it has a push button on wall for bubbles.. didn’t try cafe food as I didn’t trust to eat food since place was dirty just bought a drink.. probably wouldn’t go back unless I critically In need for a thermal spa however better thermal spa across the road and very nice scenery

unlike what people said, today water was clean - maybe because it has been raining for whole last week. it is good to avoid busy day. waterslide is must-do for all adult. had so much fun! there is a paid- locker, $5 for 5 hours, plenty available. There is the no door for shower cubicle, it will be better if they upgrade shower and changing area. main pool was 33 degree and hot pool was almost 40 degree.

Very outdated place with a poor quality cafe. The changing rooms were dirty, but the rest of the place was fairly clean. The warm outside pool was amazing - it's worth going just for that if you don't mind the rest of the place being grotty.

Love this place- we do go quite often. Usually during week around 6pm - it's pretty empty and can just relax in the indoor pool. My only concern is the maintenance of indoor pool, on the stairs on cafe side one of the tiles is broken and my son last night got a nasty cut from it. The staff were awesome & its totally not their fault. I can imagine the work involved to fix the tile would not warrant the fix. Untill there was other work needed. Just a small fyi to anyone going I guess. We always have a great time. Kids love the slides and outdoor pool- I'm the indoor hot relaxing type.
