Hilton Brown Swimming Albany

My first child I moved around a few different swim schools. My second child I discovered Hilton Brown Albany and she did the toddler and then preschool lessons and had amazing teachers, who really go the extra mile every single class! I switched my first child over to Hilton Brown and they both swim in the school age kids. My older one’s technique has become much more polished and streamlined and my second child has carried on improving at an amazing rate with a beautiful technique, so I then signed up my third one into the toddler class too, the team are so friendly and helpful and it feels like a very personalised exeperienced.

A good school for teaching your kids to swim. The administration seems pretty efficient. They have an excellent parent portal which streamlines class bookings.

Very bad experience in this facilities!! The poorest management team ever!! The manager is very rude trust me!! I enrolled this private class which is cost $60 per 30 minutes, today I have been told they were going to cancel my class because the other teacher was sick and my teacher was going to cover him only because that class have more childrenwhich they can earn more money, that's was absurd behaviour in NZ!! If any parents are looking for a place for your child to learn swim, trust me, this is not a good choice. They will lack of staff and suddenly changing the class time with rude communication skill!!

Our whole family are learning swimming here. Nice teachers and also great discount prices for family members. I highly recommend it.!!

The swimming space here is not very large, but the indoor temperature is very good, especially in the winter. It is very important for children. The course and level setting of swimming is very reasonable and can stimulate the motivation of children. In safety, you can always Seeing that the staff is constantly on tour to ensure that the child is safe during exercise.

Good place for kids to learn swim

We come from West Auckland for our lessons, so coming from the West, we know when something is good quite frankly, and that's why we come from that far. Mara you are absolutely awesome, our baby and many other wee ones just simple 'adore' you. The changes in our baby, and how stoked our baby is to see you say it all, and everything our baby has learned is just unfathomable in regards to water. Seeing some of the moans here & hearing some out there it makes one wonder just how entitled some people are, then again maybe that's Shories for you, it's a swimming centre! what are you expecting? - if you don't like the set up, then go somewhere else - it's simple as that, maybe an overcrowded rec centre or the likes, go find 'cheaper' then, and get what you pay for. We will be back next year with our wee rugrat, really appreciate & respect the time that the staff & especially Mara put into the place. It's a flash set up, excellent facilities, and perfect for swimming lessons. Really really rate this place, thank you Mara & staff for everything you've done for our baby this year, we know that she is better off for it, and safety around water is so important. Thanks heaps look forward to next years lessons. Your child learning how to survive in water is paramount - this is their NO1 priority at Hilton Brown. Great pool, warm or cooler depending on conditions - excellent. Great changing facilities for babies. Excellent changing facilities for kids and adults. Quick and easy on screen check in with your card issued. Plenty of parking, you just need to know how to drive that SUV...... Friendly and helpful staff. Easy location, 5 mins off the Greenhithe motorway. Lots of seating away from the pool if you get sick of hearing happy squealing kids. Great pricing for what you are getting, potentially too good priced - Mara, you are awesome and a massive credit to the facility. Can't thank you enough, looking forward to the 19 see you then!

Teachers are very good but space is at a premium. Also there are frequently queues to get into the car park around class start times even though there is plenty of car parks - it seems more than half of the clientele do not like or know how to park on the gravel at the rear of the premises but they block those who do not mind from getting in. We end up blocking traffic waiting to get inside. Like a lot of businesses in parts of Albany, getting home around 5 pm can be a very slow journey. Only accept payment in cash or by Direct Debit - no AP option so clients have less electronic control of payments. Checking in to class and online parent portal works well.

Very professional, our daughter enjoys her swimming lessons very much. Her instructor Sinette is fantastic. Can be a bit cramped with all the people inside.

Used to be good but I’m glad we moved to Albany Stadium before Xmas. The swimming area is getting smaller and smaller so not enough space for swiming. And during the weekend the centre lacks of managment. Some parents just let their children playing in the pool while my boy is still in his class?!
