Onetangi Takeaway

Ordered chips and battered hoki. I didn't love the hoki, felt it was slightly overcooked and had an odd aftertaste, but the battery was light and lovely. Decent sized hoki fillet, easily fed 2. Generous scooping of chips, and have to say the chips were cooked and drained to perfection. Crunchy chips, not greasy, and really well seasoned.

The service was great. Young lady was polite. The place is very hot and humid inside. Food was fresh and they are busy. We got Scallops, Potato Fritters & battered sausage these were all ok. We ordered the large Hotdog. It was wrapped in foil and all the cheese stuck to it. Wasn’t very nice, soggy bun and not what we had imagined. Overall not bad for a takeaway

Ordered a fish burger. 10/10, fish was so fresh. Most delicious fish burger I’ve ever had. Chips were so nice as well.

Very tasty and polite staff owner? as always. Before today, we last came around Christmas time 2021, where the food and service was also great. Awesome to see it still going strong!

Wow! what amazing service and even better food! I ordered over the phone and the lovely girl was so helpful and organised the pick-up time around how soon I could arrive. The burgers that my partner and I ordered were super yummy and a great price. The chip scoops were very generous, also fantastic value. If you're after a classic kiwi fish and chip dinner this summer, I cannot recommend more! Thanks guys :
