I spent hours on the internet looking at reviews before finally deciding on Omega Rental cars as my number one pick. Picked the car up in Auckland CBD depot and dropped it off at Wellington airport 10 days later. Customer service at both locations was excellent. No waiting around at Auckland depot, the car was ready to drive away. The complimentary shuttle van at Wellington airport depot was quick and easy. The car was clean, well maintained and safe. Loved the blue colour of the car - very easy to locate in shopping centre car parks. Will definitely rent from Omega again.
Omega Rental Cars logo has "Upfront and Honest" on it. My dealings with them easily confirm that is true. I communicated my requirements to them in advance of my trip & they responded promptly to all my queries with clear and concise answers. The booking was a seamless process on the phone I refuse to give credit card details by email. I picked up the car from Omega in Auckland and returned the car 10 days later in Wellington. I then picked up another car in Christchurch and returned it 9 days later in Queenstown. At all 4 locations the staff were a pleasure to deal with. Quick, polite and prompt they made the experience of picking up and dropping the vehicles a pleasure. The vehicles were clean and tidy and performed well through out our trip. We had a hybrid which was really economical with the fuel. I was extremely happy with their vehicles and staff. I had a hassle free holiday thanks to Omega. Easy to recommend them after such a fabulous experience at 4 different locations.
Perfect! Car was what I hoped for and the service we got for both the Pick Up and Drop Off service was perfect! They just made it quick and easy. The price was great value as well. We had two different cars over 2 weeks and have already booked again for a few months time. Thank you! :
We recently completed a NZ trip from the USA renting a car from Omega for 35 days. The 2018 Toyota Corolla Hatchback we rented met all our needs for a two-week road trip around the East Cape, plus driving around the Auckland and North Shore Area. Car pick-up from Auckland City Center and return to Auckland Airport were straight forward and easy. We always appreciate the shuttle from the rental location to the airport terminal. We have been using Omega for our NZ trips every two to three years over the past 25 years. We keep renting from Omega because they have served us well with good customer service and fair rental pricing. We will use them on our next trip.
Car was clean, economical and we had no performance problems. It was a bit older model apparently, as there were no USB plugs, only the cigarette lighter/plug, which we were not prepared for. Did not become an issue, since the longest we'd drive was about 1.5 hours. The small size made it easier to get in and out of some tight spots and we enjoyed the mileage as NZ gas prices are quite expensive. Staff on pick up and return were quite friendly and efficient. Would definitely rent from Omega again.
Smooth delivery process in Auckland CBD including helpful advice on navigating out of the city. Return at Auckland Airport was also smooth, and a complimentary shuttle to airport hotel was greatly appreciated. All staff were courteous and helpful. The vehicle, although of relatively high mileage, was clean and reliable with good fuel economy. We were return customers and will use Omega again. We can recommend them as a viable alternative to the big name rental chains.
We were very happy with our rental car from Omega! The service, pick up and drop off experience was excellent. Although high mileage, the rental car was totally reliable, clean and very fuel efficient. We will definitely rent from Omega again and highly recommend this rental car company to other travelers!
Great hybrid car. Wonderful service from staff from go to end. Phone charge Plug was not in car but another offered when we returned to get it at Auckland office. Then it didn’t work so we bought one that did. Rear Camera on car was mal-adjusted and couldn’t be adjusted to correct alignment. Good price great car good people.
Good experience with this car rental service. The car was new and comfortable we had a rav4 for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids 5 and 7. We picked up from Auckland and returned in Christchurch. Pick up was easy. Staff was friendly. Return was equally simple. On the last leg there was a gravel or bird?! that did a chip on the front glass but all covered so there were no dramas. Easily recommend.
We almost always use Omega when we hire a vehicle in New Zealand. The service is always terrific and easy to deal with. The prices are competitive and the hire conditions realistic. We haven’t ever had an issue or complaint. Highly recommended.
