Came here with a friend on the 24th of May 2024, around lunchtime. hearing stories about my aunty who teached at the university swimming here in the summer. nnQuite a beautiful place can only imagine how wonderful it would be like in the summer.nnA group of intermediate children wagging school who arrived later on at the top of the cliff & started throwing rocks down at the water near us.nnWe had to scream out at them to stop, as the rocks started to land closer and closer to us while sitting on the bench, they thought it would be funny to try and hit us, so we had to leave as it started to get dangerous.nnIt's a nice spot, but I wouldn't recommend coming here. If you get hurt, you would struggle to get out.
Ragged walkway to get to the waterfall area. No defined pathway on the unitec side.nVery steep path. Lots of gorgeous natives.nSadly the water is polluted signposted as such so no swimming. Lovely looking waterfall, but the area could do with some tidying up.
A really really nice view and walk. As the other of you say, the storm is damaged a few of the walkways, meaning you have to sometimes cross fire stones across rivers, but it’s really not that cool and it’s pretty much now. Again the parking is confusing, Google Maps will take you to Unitec building site you can’t get across from - the best bet is to go to Phyliss Street unfollow the signs from there : but other than that, I definitely recommend.
An amazing place to visit one of nature's attraction; a Waterfall though less in hight it is indeed a beauty. Many decks and wooden paths damaged by 2023 storm and please avoid littering.
I actually really liked this place! There are some broken bridges, but it’s cool! You can jump from the waterfall into the water
