Mt Albert Domain

Nice little park with a mountain to climb up. It’s no easy feat but once you’re up there you can enjoy the view and put up your feet.nGive yourself a photography challenge and try take some different pictures using things like composition, colour, light, close up, patterns textures. That’s what I did and it’s a guarantee for a fun time.

Good views to the city and surroundings.nEdit - June 2025.nIn spite of passing by the domain countless times, we never took out time to visit here.nThis time we finally decided to see all the peaks in the city, which was a good engagement activity for kids.nThe road to the summit is closed after the car parking and one has to walk to the summit.nThere is a football field and an archery club on the summit.nThe road around the summit is driveable but one has to walk.nThe views of the city and surroundings are nice and expansive.nPublic toilets are available near the carpark.nHighly recommended for a couple of hours excursion on a good sunny day.

Amazing dog park. Stunning views even in bad weather

This park is perfect for a leisurely stroll. The hills offer just the right amount of challenge, and the view is absolutely stunning. It's ideal for a refreshing jog, and there are convenient amenities such as restrooms and a spacious field where dogs can freely enjoy a run.

Great loop walk around the top. Fully fenced dog park. And lots of paths for the kids to explore. And great views too. I prefer it to Mt Eden.
