Story

Valonia Street Skatepark is being delivered by the Well Connected Alliance as part of the New Zealand Transport Agency’s Waterview Connection Project, connecting Auckland’s Southwestern (SH20) and Northwestern (SH16) motorways.

The 6-lane motorway connection is due to open in 2017

The skatepark is programmed for construction in 2014/2015.

When completed the skatepark will be owned and operated by Auckland Council.

Open air, freedom and the air is free too

So smooth. Not as many areas and obstacles for beginners but definitely a great spot for intermediate and above

Velonia skate park is amazing, the park itself is a sweet layout for starters as well as those with experience. The carpark next to it is lovely to skate as well

One of the better Auckland parks, well built, but a bit limited in terms of street style obstacles. Decent hips though, and the transitions are mostly pretty good geometries.

Awesome place for kids to have fun

Great park, pretty quiet and close to ammenities. Spotted a few pro’s doing their thing

Sick skatepark one of my favourite parks in Auckland. The only downside is it can get very packed with little kids at times but it's always workable.
