New World Hobsonville

Had a lovely experience today. Helpful kind staff, my 3 year old fell asleep on my shoulder while juggling the fun small trolly he was adamant to have but decided a nap was better suited. I had a lovely staff member walk past off to stock shelves offering to get me a bigger trolly, happy to stop what she was meant to be doing to help me, I thanked her but passed on the offer as I had everything i needed. Got to the self service check out and while I was managing, another staff member offered to scan it all for me, it was super kind and I didn't pass on the offer this time. Two kind caring ladies offering to help, go above and beyond their jobs is greatly appreciated and certainly made a difference in my experience today.

I have no idea why, maybe they've got someone who knows their stuff, or maybe they made a deal with a leprechaun, but this is, hands down, the best bakery stuff from a supermarket I've had. Try the donuts, scrolls, and afghan cookies. Keep it up team!

This supermarket used to be one of my favourites — clean, well-organised, and full of friendly faces. Unfortunately, things have changed a lot recently. The service is now slow and impersonal, and the warm smiles and attentiveness from the previous staff are gone. Shelves that were once neatly arranged now feel cluttered, and the whole store lacks the tidy and welcoming atmosphere it used to have. It’s disappointing to see such a great place lose its charm and standard of care.

I absolutely loved your Portuguese tarts — they were the best! I’ve been looking for them lately but can’t seem to find them. Where have they gone? Hope to see them back soon!

This is an excellent concept supermarket and a perfect fit for the Hobsonville lifestyle. So many organic selection, fresh made products like sushi, bakery, hot food, and your other everyday needs. Don't know why New World has a reputation of being expensive when it's prices are so similar to Countdown. Check this place out, you'll walk out with something tasty everyone. I've been back here for their delicious fresh sushi every time. They also have EV charging stations and plenty of parking.
