New Plymouth TOP 10 Holiday Park

The location is one of the property’s strongest features, with easy access to the city centre, local parks, family-friendly attractions, shops, and other day-to-day activities. It made getting around very convenient and provided a great base for exploring the area.nnThere were, however, a few issues that affected our stay.nnThe hairdryer in the bathroom of Family. Please have it checked and replaced.nnThe kitchen facilitates did the job but with some additions. Like an air fryer no oven fitted the boiling jug seemed quite basic and could benefit from an upgrade just a suggestion.nnWhile tea and coffee were provided, it would have been nice to have some milk available as well. this is a small touch that many guests would likely appreciate.nnThe television setup could also be enhanced with access to Netflix, Freeview, or another streaming service to provide more entertainment options for guests especially families.nnIn addition, we had to request fresh towels during our stay rather than having them provided the next day.nnOverall, the excellent location was a definite positive, the service was great, kids had fun with the pool & play area but the issues mentioned above detracted from what could have been a much better experience. Addressing these areas would significantly improve guest satisfaction, and we would have been happy to give a higher rating had they been taken care of. Hopefully next visit.

Stayed in a deluxe cabin for one night in the off season. The location is unique, being in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but still a nice quiet area.nnThe cabin is nice, coming with a fridge, toaster, kettle, plates, and cutlery. No stove or oven. Room does not come with bedding, but the beds are comfortable. The park wifi was unfortunately poor from my cabin 26.nnBathrooms are nice, showers have individual rooms which is always good. Very nice and helpful staff.

Small park which is nice, and not too far of a walk from the beach; but there was a constant battle to use the one washing machine and the small kitchen by the campers. I did like the fact there were bushes around the plots for the campers though; felt more secluded than most spotsnThe one washing machine for so many people was a major put off though, I was setting alarms on my phone for when other people’s washing cycle would be finished and when my wash had finished there was also someone waiting to put their clothes in as soon as my cycle endednWorth noting the dryer only takes $2 coins; wish I knew that before I used my two $2 coins in the washer absent mindedly and had none for the dryer

We stayed here for one night in November 2025 and absolutely loved it! We slept in our car, but the pitches were spacious and separated by hedges, giving us plenty of privacy. The staff were super friendly — they gave us great tips on what to do in the area and even prepared the sauna for us. The facilities were excellent: two clean shower areas, a heated pool, and a large common room with lots of power outlets for charging our devices. Everything, including the showers and common spaces, was spotless. The free Wi-Fi worked perfectly across the whole campsite. And the highlight — a private sauna for two, which felt amazing after our hike to Holly Hut in Mount Taranaki. Highly recommended!

Great little spot for a stay. We booked a self contained cabin as we don't have a tent or a caravan and it had everything we needed.nnI loved that the camping spots were separated by hedging. The playground was perfect, the kids loved the brand new trampoline and the pool.nnThe TVs in the rooms were huge and had wifi so we could easily connect to watch a Friday night movie. The rooms were spotless and the bedding, linen and towels were in excellent condition.nnThere's a full size fridge/freezer and a cook top, it's super easy to self cater with a supermarket a few minutes drive away.
