On behalf of my ill husband, he had to wait 45 minutes this morning for his blood test. This is not acceptable given that there is usually 4 or 5 staff taking blood although staff appear to be nonchalant doing their job and do not seem to care that people are having to wait so long. If staff moved at a quicker pace, waiting times would decrease thereby making this task not so onerous. I do wonder if this review will make any difference at all.

Never fun to have to go and give blood, but the waiting area is bright and spacious, the check in process is really straightforward and they do actually get through people fairly quickly, I arrived and there were just 2 empty seats, but was still seen well inside an hour, over a lunchtime period.. clean and tidy, and staff are pretty friendly so it's definitely the best place to go these days in New Plymouth

Janice and Alan were absolutely amazing with my 3 year old who was very difficult to get blood from. They were kind and understanding with her and it was so appreciated. The childrens ward had failed to get blood from her, but they managed to get it done quickly and with as little stress as possible. They also gave her a bravery certificate afterwards which was so cute!

Friendly staff however terribly long wait times and minimal parking available. Don’t expect to be dealt with within 30 minutes.

What's the deal with the massive wait times? I hear there is strike action going on, yet you are punishing pregnant mothers and old people on zimmer frames by making them stand around for an hour.nWho exactly is getting punished here? Because it seems like your employer doesn't care.
