Merchant of Matamata

A bit disappointed really, waited over 40 minutes for lunch when there were only 3 tables, steak that was ordered medium rare came burnt on the outside and medium on the inside. Ribs that were orered was massively dry. Coffee was strong and nicely made.

Had our daughters 21st on Saturday night they could not have been more accommodating. Everything was great and never a problem on any questions asked during the planning process highly recommend. The platters were amazing and went down well with everyone. Thanks for a great night

Went to the Merchant to look at the Record fair, so had brunch, I had the Lambs fry and bacon on a mash. It was very tasty. Hubby ordered the light fish and chips.

Really disappointed in the overall experience. The staff didn't check if we needed more drinks, ask how our meal was or ask if we wanted dessert. The food was very underwhelming, the platter was basically a bunch of fried crap, the squid was rubbery, the chicken was dry, the warmed salad was average $33 for a bunch of roast vege mixed in with some greens, ordered steak medium rare it was more well done. I definitely would not go back, this was my first time there, I was really looking forward to it but was very disappointed
