DKs is an established Burger Bar that has brought home cooking to the fast food industry. From fresh fish to 100% chicken breast in their chicken burgers



"DK's Burger Bar is an iconic burger and fish and chip store. It was started by locals Daniel and Katherine who wanted to bring the best fish and chips to Matamata. Tina and Sky took over in 2002 and followed in the original owners footsteps to give the best quality, tasty food that they new how, by using the best tasting not the cheapest, by tasting their own food and if it did not taste incredible then they were not going to sell it. Tina always wanted the best for her customers and took pride in the food that was produced. If the food was not up to her standard or the customers she would be very upset as the burger bar was not about money it was about the food. David the new owner is keeping the standards that were set by his predecessors"

Huge portions. The hamburger tastes quite a bit different than an American burger, but good. I accidentally ordered what must have been the "everything" burger because it was like 3 meals stacked between the buns .

Always very fresh fish and deep fried muscle sizes are nice and big. But often they serve me saggy chips. Seems like never improved so very disappointing only that part.

Always amazing! I literally could eat and crave DKs every night the hot and spicy chicken burger is my all-time favourite burger! Highly recommend trying that, but everything they do is fresh and delicious The service is also always amazing! Love love love
Super impressed with this wee takeaway place! Food looked and tasted great! Wonderful service too! My partner LOVES chicken burgers and gets them literally EVERYWHERE we go. He said the one he had from DK's was definitely top 5! Massive complaint as he usually grumbles at many places
