Lovely regional park for a picnic, gathering, BBQ or a swim. Parking close to the beach and toilets with changing facilities. Lots of big trees for shade on a hot day by the grass. There are lifeguards on duty if you swim between the flags. Public BBQs available. No dogs or fishing allowed as it's a marine reserve.
Lovely place for a summer days family outing. Perfect beach for taking a chill and jump in. Neat and clean park and beach
Fantastic, vast beachside park with clean toilets and changing area, drinking fountains, water spouts, grassy slopes, plenty of shade, and the sound of waves and birds for a perfect afternoon nap!nnI waited here before a night kayaking tour in bioluminescent waters, thanks to Canoe and Kayak, Auckland!nnLots of ducks and other birds around, and they know people have crumbs. If you're going to feed them, keep it healthy for them! I had some unsalted sunflower seeds with me.
An amazingly beautiful area, which has a vast array of different places to explore. The beach is wide and large enough to bring a ball or a frisbee. There is also a historic house on the hill that has been converted into a museum with a dedicated cast of volunteers that breathe life into the place.nnFor photographers, there are plenty of landscape and bird photo opportunities, as you can see from what I've attached.
One of the best beaches on the north shore & dog friendly all year round we're always blessed with incredible sunsets here spectacular
