Awaruku Reserve

Lovely scenic bush reserve, was my local before I moved to the city. This is the Awaruku entrance there's about 3 or 4 entrances joining on to the reserve

Absolutely beautiful piece of native bush, preserved in the middle of a residential area. Wonderful paths, well maintained and visible. The 650 year old tree is in the far north area of the reserve.

A hidden gem of a reserve. Nice network of small trails off the main central path. Good for walking the dog or just getting away from it all. Some of the paths need a bit of work but overall this is a nice place to explore, really feels like you're away from the city.

Beautiful reserve with a few different trails and some interesting info in places along the trail. The scene is tropical/jungle with palms and streams and paths and at certain times of year there are even glow worms in the stone quarry. Love this place so picturesque.

Walking around glowing worms under starry sky is magical
